[INFO]Kristen Speaks - Sorry everyone but I am OOG Hey everyone
I am sorry to say that I have no idea why my URL was on that fortune cookie slip and I have no clues to give out. I wish I could help you solve the puzzle but alas...
Could you guys do me a favor and please don't call or email anyone I have linked to on my site regarding the game. They aren't involved either.
Good luck with the game!
Kristen
p.s. if by chance one of the PMs of this game is watching the boards - could you please contact me immediately?

Yeah it must have been annoying with people begging you for clues.
This game really shouldn't have involved your website, especially since I'm assuming it was done without your consent.
Good luck with your other ARG efforts- I want a good 4orty 2wo ARG instead of this junk

Jane McGonagil must be getting fed up of the emails too.
I just imediately took the 42, Karen and ilovebees link straight to her email inbox.
Guess it's not 42 but some amateur trying to do what somone else did better.

Linking to Kristen was such a stupid move by Gamem8ker, that I wouldn't be surprised if the game ends right now, not to be heard of again.

They should have know better than putting such an explicit link would cause chaos to the sites they link to. It almost looks like that the PMs running OurColony are new at running an ARG.

^^^ Add the bad website design and frustrating, pointless challenges, I would have to agree.
It does say it's not an ARG- at least hopefully it won't give the entire genre a bad name.

Yes, but I think that is said to try and sell the concept of this a 'reality'. Whatever the case it has been a disaster, technical glitches and stupid puzzles. Microsoft may well rue the day they embarked on this particular piece of viral marketing.
One thing I don't understand though is why would they link to her site without her being informed? It just strikes me as deeply naive and unprofessional.

Too bad there isn't a nice little tid bit written up by her lawyer stating that legal action may be taken at her discretion against any opposers of a linking statement (I assume that's the right word).
Course, I'm not quite positive that she isn't part of this. Or at least part of a Halo 3 marketing campaign that's probably already started and waiting to be discovered.

I am. It's too bad it will be impossible to convince everyone before the game ends.

I hope she sues the people behind this for damages, this whole thing must have caused her a lot of stress.

I'm pretty sure it's not illegal to link to a website.

No, but suggesting she was part of this game, which resulted in her recieving lots of phone calls from players might be actionable.

Hey.....
Let's do her a favor and put this link to her post up on other forums to try to save her some more nonsense.
I remember reading that there where over 1 million people playing the ILB arg. Just imagine how many are playing this. Not to mention the maturity and business experience of most of us. Most other forums have an age demographic of 12-18. Kristen does business with these people and needs to maintain those relationships. I am sure that there are people from all over the world harrassing, not only her, but her affiliates and partners as well.
It is already posted at teamxbox forums and I'm headed to nextbox.com
And Kristen, your patience and understanding are noted by all of us here.

Everyone keeps forgetting- you also earn points by submitting challenges to the site. This challenge might be from users. IE: The site overlords didn't notice the cookie (red herring done conciously by the challenge creator), or they thought it was part of the challenge set up by the creator (IE: Not a real website, but just another clue).

I can't believe that they still leave it up on the picture. I'm sure she gets calls everyday for this stuff. For being so bombarded with annoying players, she sure handled the situation professionally and classy. Kristen Rules!!!!!
