Actually my first mental image of the Leitmark was one of those colored campaign bars you see decorating high-ranking military types.

I really feel sorry for the late sleepers in the US and points west - they're not going to know what hit them when they wake up!

Reading the academy website, I am starting to think that the picture from the postcard may actually be from the vantage point of the bell tower at the Academy, which apparently has good views over the city
