HOLY SMEG In the words of Dave Lister of the mining ship the Red Dwarf. "Holy smeg!"
Shame the sites not having it. No prompt for login and pass before the 403?

Err, sorry, don't know what came over me there. Curiouser and curiouser. Why does Sente need to communicate in code in Firebox with Patrick. Why not just send him an email?
Is that ad genuine? Do they really have those cards for sale? What would one do with them?
On another note - Gah! I specifically chose the name Paulzilla because I was certain that Paul would have already been taken. Shows what I know

Cards The top thing is a photo, like a polaroid.
Then there are 6 cards, you can make out some of the text but doesn't point to anything.
Then the packet which has 'Design prototype' written on it so the cards might not even be relevant....

yeh the cards do look very cool - is this going to be like a Magic - The Gathering card game, or possibly just more like collection cards (like the Panini stickers you used to get when I was a kid)? Are they just going to be momentos, or will they be an integral part of the game?
Sounds like a great new element to the game, whatever it is.

I wonder if the parcels contain those cards, just to make the rest of us buy/drool over 'em
damnit, I am getting impatient here.
Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow...
Its a shame you can't buy them from firebox at the moment!

Wow, it all seems a bit crazy, I think we know what the hook is, possibly selling these cards, £9.95 a pop is a lot of money. I want some though. What a crazy new medium this is set to create. My brain is going to explode, I'm excited.....
£100,000!!! this is set to be the mother of ARG's!

But the ad says pack of 6 random cards, and I see card numbers as high as 170 in the ad. 333 packs of 6 random cards... this could get interesting. And if they're all separate, but linked puzzles (as it appears to me).. then this could get mind crushing!

Patrick : Anyone else notice the amount of Irishness in the spelling of names and the use of Irish names a little too common?

Calling firebox FYI:
I just got off the phone with the firebox operator.
They suggested visting the Web site shown in the catalogue, and confirmed that the things pictured would be going on sale, but could not give a firm due date for them.
So, the plot thickens.

All I can make out of the card is:
===
#123 Illogical
perplexcity.com
Between all the distractions and parties of university, I did manage to fit in a few experimental psychological lectures. One of the most interesting things I learned was how at heart, people aren't as logical as they think. Try this problem.
Each of these cards has a letter (A or K) on one side and a number (2 or 7) on the reverse. If I told you there was a rule stating that a card with A on one side will have a 2 on the reverse, which two cards would you turn over to find out if the rule was true?
===
I think Sy's right it doesn't sound particulary relevant - and it doesn't really fit in with Scarlett's comment of "This is not a game" does it?
I hope this this isn't going to turn into some sort of card swapping/collecting game!
