[SPEC][OOG] www.eulersdisk.com On the 'About Us' page of Open Design there is a mention of Euler's Disk. When you google it, you find www.eulersdisk.com
I'm not sure about it, it seems kind of weird...... Any ideas?

The Euler Disc looks like a really neat toy and has some neat properties... but I'd say the web site is OOG... for any one that doesn't see the mention of Euler Disc right off

Maybe they have a giant Euler Disc Monument in PC.

Well has anyone actually used one of these? That would confirm its OOGness.

I saw them for sale in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry about 6 months ago. They seemed to be one of those sorts of toys that have a "wow, gee whiz" factor for about five minutes. then never get touched again.

Yeh, my old high-school physics teacher loved these things. They'd get really annoying in class when he'd spin them though... they make a god awful noise.

maybe thats what the wheel game is about -- would explain the need for sound cancellation devices -- and the phrase "tip your wheel"

Also in the history section it says 'in the 80s' when combined with the 'Open Design is located in the Artist's Quarter at 76 Hackett Road, close to Euler's Disc.' it makes it OOG

The website makes no mention of Perplex City or anything else that we know is related to the game, additionally it mentions places in our world:
Quote:
Around the late 80's I was spinning heavy disks that were lying about the polishing lab of a large southern California aerospace company
And then there's the mentions of Walpole and Euler who're historical characters from Earth. And all this just from the history page...
Definitely OOG IMHO - can we lock this please?
EDIT: oooops - removed a point that Rob_Riv had already mentioned
