The url of her latest entry (the one where she disses her dad) is /azkaban.html. So what's with the Harry Potter reference?

According to Scarlett, he is Violet's friend.

I have tried searching for 'Velleity' on the Literature Online (LiOn) website. You will need an account name and password to use it yourself; subscribing Universities should be able to provide their students with one.

http://lion.chadwyck.co.uk/

The Lion database is not exhaustive but better than nothing.

Velleity is used in four poems....

Browning, Robert, 1812-1889 RED COTTON NIGHT-CAP COUNTRY, OR TURF AND TOWERS

Coffey, Brian, 1905- 7 [Whitefir]

Coffey, Brian, 1905- POEM

Darley, George, 1795-1846 THE ERRORS OF ECSTASIE

...and some papers on literary criticism, but nothing in a novel. I was hoping it might be a book we shared with Perplex City.

Perhaps she's been imprisoned (or someother form of 'trouble'). She's been awfully quiet, and the last sentence of that entry just breaks off, no punctuation or anything. Which seems odd. And deliberate.

Yeah, I was wondering if we could find a transcript or audio file of her interview, the way she put 'broadcast' in bold. I want to hear her plummy tones again.

[Spec]Violet & Scarlett websites

Hi I'm new here so apologies if this has already been posted, but I did do a search and couldn't see anything related. Ref the bold on violet's site, well there's also bold on Scarlett's...the words are:
found, broadcast it, velleity, all the time, way, file, promise, amazing, well done and love.
Does any of this mean anything? or is it just 2 girls making an emphasis on their webistes?

I can't seem to make a sentence structure out of it, anyone else want a go?

I've found two books that use the word velleity in its text.

Nearer, My God: An Autobiography of Faith, by William F. Buckley Jr.
ISBN: 0385478186

The Sheep Queen: A Novel, by Thomas Savage
ISBN: 0316610909

Hope it helps...

Updates to sites like the Sentinel, ScarlettKite or QuirkyAcuity tend to be posted in new threads to keep the older ones from turning into 20-page monsters - just try searching for The Postcard Thread some time if you fancy wasting a few days of your life obsessing over a 24-digit number. Actually, don't do that Wink .

Anyway, the new thread is here. Oh, and welcome to the board.
