Package Retrieval

Nisha sent me an e-mail saying she'd prefer it if one of us could
go get the package that Will received for Ian. I already have a
few people in mind I'm going to send her way, but if you live in
or near New York, tell me here and I'll add you too.

I asked will for info about the box in area52, we'll see if he is good for anything.

I work in Manhattan and I can usually take a long lunch. Left a message at the Scratch DJ Academy, told Will I could pick up the package tomorrow (today?) instead of Friday...we'll see if he calls back Smile

package

If bagsbee can't get the package, I can get it at 4:00 today. bagsbee has better access to getting pictures and stuff on-line than I do, but you can count on me if the package is still there at 4:00pm.

I'll check in to see if bagsbee got it.

Also, we decided to wait until we see what is in the package and then decide whether to tell Ian. If we are going to do that, let's not tell Nisha either? The package give us a bargaining chip, if only we knew what to ask for. Smile

Maybe we need to rethink the whole "share everything with all the characters" approach that we have been taking? It has worked so far but they are trying to make us choose, at least with respect to the package, who we trust.

I like the idea of "we have the package, we know what's in it... Now why should we tell you?"

They've obviously been keeping stuff from us. Very Happy

I also agree. The more this goes on, the weirder it gets, and I'm no longer sure who we can trust. I used to think Nisha was 100% genuine, but a few things have happened lately that have got me suspecting otherwise. Make 'em beg for it I say

Bagsbee finally got to speak with Will Star. Will insisted on handing over the package tomorrow night at the scratch session.

Bagsbee can't make it tomorrow, so hopefully Strifey will be able to take delivery.

Paging Strifey...

You just might be. strifey is a little under the weather and has to come in from outside the city. I'm not sure how much Rose has her heart set on going - but if she'd rather not then you'd be perfect.

The Scratch DJ Academy is located in the heart of the West Village
(434 6th Ave {bet. 9th and 10th st.}, Manhattan, NY)

if you can get to the L train in manhattan, it's close to the 6th ave stop.

This week's session is Friday from 7-10.

If you really want to do this, then let us know (sooner rather than later). You might be able to save someone who might not necessarily want to go the trip Very Happy I'm more than willing to provide ground (ie cell phone) support if you'd like.

It's a special Friday session this week http://willstar.tv/messageboard/index.php?showtopic=101

Next week the scratch session will be moved back to friday, still 7-10. I have been talking with the publishers at Tablist magazine and they have agreed to write an article about the Turntablist Session in the next issue of Tablist. A writer will be there next week to observe the session, so I am planning on doing it right. I expect a lot of people to show up for this, because it could mean some good exposure in the mag.

So again, very special scratch session on Friday, April 29th.

Kiyash and I are driving down to Coachella tomorrow night while the package Op in NYC should be going down. I'd love to call from the road (we're driving 6 - midnight) to get updates, since it's possible that knowing what happened and what's in the package could be important for the Coachella mission. Anyone who will definitely be watching/taking part in the NYC op want to exchange cell phone numbers? Just send me a PM, and I'll send you my info.

Thanks!

So, it turns out that I'm not busy tonight after all...long story.

In any event, I'll try to be there as close to 7pm as possible.

Anyone else going?
