[META] The game itself! Some of the cards have a description of how to play on the back:
1) Collect cards, common to rare availability, easy to hard to solve.
2) Win Points for solving cards, enter solves at PC.com
3) Trade cards to make sets, and win extra points!
4) Investigate the mystery, and learn about PC...
5) Reveal who took the cube
6) Find the cube, win the prize!
We need to think about hosting a puzzle site with each card on - its gonna need alot of bandwidth though!
Also, can we enter as a group to score points, seems only fair!

I would be interested in getting in a group, if that's possible. Who else would be in?

While the group idea sounds good and all,
Im guessing its gonna be discouraged.
As more people sharing info, means less cards sold.
I might be a cynic, but sadly its looking like thats what Perplex City is all about.

How would we divvy up the money?
How would we stop lurkers getting the very last solve and claiming for themselves?
Isn't this forum a group?

We've speculated from near the beginning that they wanted us to split into groups... its kinda sad to see that start to happen once money becomes such a big issue.

But OUR forums are about teamwork and solving!
We can do this how we want!

I like Muffin's point.

i agree- we should stay together as the whole forum rather than separate groups- if there are going to be live events etc as was hinted at, then we can't all be in the same place at once anyway. so we need to help each other out.. i guess the final cube-finding solve will be one where the first one to solve it wins, but say someone in london discovers the cube's in NY?!

I agree that we should use the full force of our combined, and hopefully versatile, talents. But we will need some kind of organizational structure for puzzles & solves, outside of this forum. The Wiki would probably be a good place for it.

Hi, I've been following this forum for quite a while (ever since I recieved the Firebox catalogue with the perplexcity ad in it) and its great being able to follow it and seeing everyone work together.. It would be a real shame if money being involved stopped everyone from co-operating.
I didn't manage to get a parcel, and I hope that I can still play along without one, but without forums like this that wouldn't be a possibility.

Surely if they knew this then why not just tell us? Why do we have to buy the cards lol. I think Sente has just pretended to lose the cube and is just an internet marketing scammer

Considering the 333 seem to have some sort of message which needs piecing together from the parcels I'd say there's no sign of them wanting us to work as anything but a team

Yep. Besides, wouldn't it put a twist in their under-roos if we spent as little money as possible on collecting all the cards? I.E. We all buy one pack, post new cards, and work together on the solves. The rarer cards might be a bit harder to track down but I'm sure if we all chip in around $10.00 then we'll get all the cards.
