math oddity with THCRC

I was wondering some things about the square puzzle:

1 12 12 9 19 14 15 20
19 5 5 13 19. 20 8
3 18 3 1 18 5 3
12 21 5 19 5 22 5
18 25 23 8 5 18 5
A............. T.............

I'm thinking that "THCRC" wasn't a typo at all. I think CRC could have been a clue. A common way to compute a CRC for error checking is to basically add up the bytes of a file and use a portion of the resulting value as something to check against. I thought of this and tried adding together the numbers of each row and got a palindrome of sorts:

1st row total: 102
2nd row total: 89
3rd row total: 51
4th row total: 89
5th row total: 102

The total of all of these is 433, but I found the palindromic quality of this to be incredibly provocative. Any thoughts?

Also note - a palindrome is also something that "begins where it ends."
