Here is the back of Card #241 - T-L-P

Text:

Polygon Park Part 2

Though records are incomplete, Polygon Park is thought to date back to the founding of Perplex City. The overall layout has not changed significantly, with the lakes and amphitheatre remaining relatively untouched. Plans are being drawn up to excavate portions of the park for archeological purposes.

I think #074 and #079 (but not #078) are upside-down too. Cool

This is probably trivial and not really of note at this point, but ... does anyone have a copy of Prototype Card #074 WordSpy? Do you notice that the back is different from the official released version of WordSpy? It has a picture of Grand Frederik's Station and actually fits in quite nicely where #108's back is speculated to go.

I assume we will have to see when #108 is officially released, but if anyone has a scan it may be interesting to all you mapheads in the interim. I can't scan myself, but I'll transcribe the bit about GFS for you though:

-----*-----
Grand Frederik's Station

Grand Frederik's Station is the new central hub for rail and subway transportation in Perplex City. From the air, the station has a wasp-like shape with a black climate-controlled semipermeable roof and two transparent retractable wings for shelter against weather.
-----*-----

[EDIT] -- It seems like none of the other prototype cards have different backs from the released cards. I don't have all the released ones, but it looks that way from Bri's catalog. -- [/EDIT]

Hi,

I was just thinking, there's a free bit of software called autostitch, and you pass in lots of images that match up or overlay, and it stitches them together into one image.

I think if you had decent quality and well-cropped images for the map pieces, it would help match them up.
Question Question

EDIT: I tried it with a few but it didn't work. I think they actually have to overlap for it to work properly Sad

Actually, you will find that if you combine the cards into groups of four (by color, suit, and the colored corners/edges), they fit together quite well. These groups of four then stack in columns from right-to-left. We have an online system already to piece them together using this layout: http://perplexcitycardcatalog.com/mapgrid.html

We need somebody to expand on Daffy's map.
It was clear, connected, patterned, color-coded...

Maybe if Bri adopts it and updates his map using Daffy's as a template...

Eh? See where I'm going? Eh? Eh? Cool

I actually had plans to make a Flash-based zoomable/scrollable map at one point. But I had planned on just linking the files direct from the Card Catalog so that it was always up to date, and then Brian converted all the images on there to PNG (which Flash can't import remotely like it can for JPG).

I guess I could update the map I posted earlier though, I still have the original file around here somewhere.
