[Spec] New tracking system?

In a phone message CG leaves for Ian he says he has a new tracking system for him that's "totally sweet", and that he'll put it up on Ian Net.

Just as when the Lawyer said she uploaded driving music for Nisha, I assumed something related to the tracking program would be in one of the folders on Ian's side.

I've just been through every foulder in Ian's account (nosey nosey nosey) and I can't find anything new.

So, possibly there's a part of Ian Net we haven't been too yet?

There was an ftp site mentioned in one of Nisha's emails.

ftp.lastresortretrieval.com responds and prompts for a username and password. I mentioned this in IRC a while back and the consensus was that it's probably used for OOG management of the site. It could be possible there's some way for us to find a username/password though.. It does seem like HTTP ian net is more likely to have this sort of stuff if it's something we're supposed to find though.

If you're referring to the Apr. 1, 2005 11:23pm phone message, CyberGosse tells Ian "I put it up on Iannet for you in your personal file."

And in the folder "Personal Stuff", there's a movie called CyberGosse Tracking Program that shows Ian breaking into the chop shop to steal our missing Audi.

Also, it was discussed here by yanka. I guess this means I get to pull some really really stinky month-old trout out for HitsHerMark Trout Yay. That's the first time I've trouted someone.

Btw, I noticed we had a lot of other players that first week. Where did they all go?

I've been busy lately, and I'd like to take a more active role as much as I can. I am going through exam prep right now though, so it's an annoying time to be missing this game. I think maybe the reason others have disappeared could be the speed with which the game moves and/or the upsurge of perplex city.

In my attempt to access the ftp site, I discovered the following:
Ian's password to IANNET is kdnvbod
Nisha's is urjfl
and Client's is nvlsopposs
None of these username/passwords worked for the ftp site.

I also found that www.lastresortretrieval.com and www.audicarfan.com have the same IP number (204.209.44.105)

I'll lock this thread just to keep things organized. It's getting a little trouty in here Smile

The passwords, and same IP issues have already been discussed.. didn't really lead anywhere so it's better to focus on the current events..
