But that's what the Carlsberg ad's do. These two guys goto a hairdressers and one of them has an Elvis quiff but it's like a foot long so it keeps his beer in the shade away from heat.

I'd never buy beer if it was the same kind that some weirdo with that hairstyle drank... Wink

Beware the heat..... global warming thingy? Dunno how that would fit in at all, but that was my first thought.

What, huh, no one did the whois?
Well who is links the site to BBDO Canada. Here's some info on them from www.ad-freaks.com/top10mc.htm :

2004 Top 10 Marketing Commuications Services Companies

-4. BBDO Canada (70,523,297 2001 gross revenue) Offices; Toronto (head), Vancouver, Winnipeg, Montreal. Established 1992. 510 employees. Some Subsidiaries; GeneratorIdeaWorks, McKim Communications, BBDO Montreal & Proximity. Some Major Clients; Dairy Farmers of Ontario, Campbell Soup Company, DaimlerChrysler Canada & Hostess Frito-Lay Company

Welllll they're into food, cars and snacks. My bets are on this being a drink of some sort, though maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe a car.

Welllll I'm stealing this from spec on another site.... so shoot me, but the guy makes brilliant points.

[quote: CORVUS]The ad is about a guy (mid 20's max) who's running in the city. It's filmed in a non-conformist way (sephia colors), the camera is moving fast and only delivers one thing: what the heck this message is about?

So, summer temperature + burning sun + guy looking for a pool (second clip) = IMO a thirsty man!

Is this advertised product will be beer? I doubt about it, the way it's marketed it's for kids up to mid 20's people. So what else is heavily sold during summer as refreshment? Let's say cola or any other pop beverage?

Clue number one for the pop or cola theory:

Coke just launched their marketing campaign for the "summer flavor": Coke Lime. Can we expect Pepsi to launch something new too? (just like previous years with Vanilla Coke vs Pepsi Twist)...

Clue number two:

Pepsi is actually THE biggest customer of BBDO in Canada

Clue number three:

Pepsi US just launched new Pepsi Lime...

Ahh, heh... whois.... heh, errr, yeah, that'd be common logic... clearly we don't possess it. Embarassed Heh.

Hmm, you're right. That guy does make good points. Maybe its some sort of energy-o-high-tech-ness-vitamins-blahblah-super-hydroness-etc-filled-wtih-special-nutrients-you've-never-heard-of-infused-with-papaya-dragonfruit-and-napagapagolo-fruit type drinks. Weird power drinks which are 'super refreshing' and all that. That or soda seem most likley.

This was posted on that thread too. So, it's definitely for some sort of soft drink, but in my opinion it doesn't look like there is going to be an ARG about it. Even if there will be a game for it, I don't think one about a beverage would be that great.

Yeah, I was thinking a Gatorade/Powerade/Lucozade type sports drink when I saw the ads on TV. (I've seen them on CBS, Space, MuchMusic, TSN, and Showcase so far.)

Edit: It's Pepsi...

There was no need to go that far, all you had to do was check out the privacy policy on the main page. That's the first thing I did, I'm surprised none of you had checked it out yet...

Thank god I'm not the only one who noticed the privacy policy.

Come on, people. And I thought -I- was new to this stuff.

I did a WHOIS on page one! It's like primary school all over again... soon I'll start having dreams that I'm on Unfiction, and suddenly I'll realise - I'm naked.
