[spec] worry is from Virgil's past

VKOC - Fun With Peers page.

RECORDED PHONE CALL TRANSCRIPT (EXCERPTS)

Around January 2005

V: Well, Mister Pi-del-ko, is that the correct pronunciation? Yes, fine. I am very busy just now, as you can imagine, how did you get my phone number?

S: I worked for you-in the old days.

V: Did you? Uh huh. Interesting. And you are...?

S: I am the same man. I have heard through the electronic grapevine that you are about to start up again. On a new project. And I thought that was very exciting, of course. It would be great to be, to have that again.

V: (doesn't speak)

S: So as you can tell from the fact that I managed to get your unlisted phone number without breaking a sweat. I am still the researcher to have at your fingertips.

V: Yes. Of course, I am impressed and pleased that you thought highly enough of me to call.

S: Yes, exactly.

V: Let me explain something. And let me be clear at the outset that my decision has nothing at all to do with you personally, nor does it reflect adversely on your obvious capabilities. All right. I made the decision for this project, which marks as you know my return to the video game wars-I made the decision categorically I'm afraid not to ask any of the old crew to come back.

S: That's all right. You're not asking me. I'm asking you.

V: Right. My decision is to start with a new crew, And therefore, Mr. Pi-del-ko-

S: Standish

V: It's been nice to talk to you again-after so long a time.

S: Yes. And when after wasting who knows how much time trying to find a researcher with my resources and experience you say to yourself, My God, I wish I'd taken Mr. Pidelko's phone number-because now it's become obvious how much I need him-well, do you have a piece of paper and a pen handy-to write down my number?

An ace researcher with resources and experience to spare?

This guy has my vote as, the guy most likely to be worry.

And apparently, his first name is Standish. (We hate people named "Standish"!)

Nice. This also fits in with Nisha/Ian's earlier spec. that Worry is a gamer

I don't think Ian and Nisha use the term "gamer" the same way we do though.

They often reffer to us Retrievers as "gamers"... Because we think we're playing a game.
