[Update] New Sentinel Article (3rd May)

Alejo Arrested
By JULIUS LOMAN
Alejo Jackson, the frontman for critically acclaimed band Roll for Damage, was arrested last night for assault, public drunkenness, and disturbing the peace. Police records say that he entered the restaurant Conundra at approximately 12:30am.

According to the police account, the singer took a place at the bar, and shortly thereafter confronted Ian Petreson, 32, resulting in a fist fight. Both men were arrested and subsequently treated for minor injuries.

Eyewitness accounts claim that Jackson appeared already intoxicated when he arrived on the scene. "Alejo was very belligerent," said Georgi Nichols, 23, who was dining at Conundra at the time. "It was like he was simply spoiling for a fight. ... I've never seen anything like it, he's always seemed so pleasant in interviews."

A woman at the scene, who refused to give her name, claimed that Petreson was making loud comments speculating on whether Jackson's former girlfriend, the popular vocalist Joya, might be pregnant, and who the father might be if she were. "Obviously Alejo took offence," she said. "It's a very personal subject, and it looked to me like [Petreson] was trying to tip his wheel."

The restaurant suffered some property damage, but the management does not plan to close it during repairs. Police said that both Jackson and Petreson will almost certainly be released on bail sometime today.

Jackson's publicist, Shane Cobalt, declined to comment on the incident, on the grounds that he was not yet familiar with the details of the situation.

Roll for damage? What is this, a DnD convention?

I meant: "Roll 2 4-sided die and add 6"

That is so punk.

It's decided, I'm starting an RFD fan site. Alejo I LOVE YOU!

Not really, but I do wonder if Alejo is going to be playing a larger role in this whole story then we've speculated up until this point. It'd be nice to have a rockstar on our side. *hmm* Besides, I still stand by me wanting a Roll For Damage hoodie... or at least a sticker to slap on my base.

Theres got to be at least a couple of RFD cards if/when they get released. Hey, there might even be a demo hidden out there somewhere on the big wide web just waiting for us to discover it. Smile

actually, i had a mental image of a spinning top, being smacked to start it prescessing. its an interesting turn of phrase, and not that different from many we have in english. i say interesting though, not for the phrase, but the societal implications. first off, the wheel season is starting. we still have no clue what that is, and the phrase may be related.

second, we have the cube. ascendancy point (a cone) and wheel. basic geometric shapes . hmm.

just spent an hour going over the figures for ascendancy point. i was going to say that i wouldnt be surprised to see phi and other numbers play a large part in their architecture. so i analyzed the point (based off scarletts blog)

its half an inch wide, 1.75 tall. ratio of 3.5, not phi, not even twice phi, quite. and the ratio of midpoint to bottom is 1.79. drat. digging through my memory for some old geo knowledge, and doing a bit of rounding off, i get a length of the side of 2 inches. this gives an angle of about 75 degrees at the base, or a top angle of 30 degrees. very nice round number. this means one could make a perfect circle of ascendancy points. 12 of them, in fact. hmmm, where has the concept of 12 units to a whole been seen so far? ohh, thats right, just about everywhere.
