[SPEC] Nolan Bushnell

I was perusing Gamespot's History of Video Games and was particularly interested in Nolan Bushnell. Some salient points:

1. Bushnell forms Atari, which is a term from the Japanese game Go, in 1972. His original name for the company is Syzygy, but it has to be changed because there is already a roofing company with that name.

2. Bushnell leaves Atari in 1978 and signs a five-year non-compete. He goes off to create and market the Chuck E. Cheese franchise. In 1983, Bushnell reenters the video game world and joins Videa Games, changing its name to another Go term, meaning "checkmate." This new company, Sente Games, publishes a few titles but never goes anywhere.

My amateur research aside, does anyone else find these two facts a bit odd? My conclusion is that a) this is a total coincidence, b) this is an homage or reference of some sort (i.e. - the PMs are aware of Bushnell's history but this has nothing to do with the game per se), or c) Bushnell is a backer.

I'm not trying be a sensationalist, but I don't think that C is too far-fetched a possibility. Anyway, my vote is for A, but I thought I'd share this info with everyone and let you decide.

It all depends on what you want to see. Hey Bushnell makes good binolculars! I'm going for a-c because seemingly anything is likely just as often as not.
