[Spec] Is Ian setting Nisha up?

Yesterday I sent Ian an email suggesting a way for him to track the remaining cars. It seemed the most logical solution to the problem. The answer Ian sent was what I would call, a bit too contrived.

Quote:
ya, good idea...

I've been looking into this very thing, hoping to find something before
Nisha gets into contact range of Gunter.

Problem is, Earthcross ain't too neat when it comes to stashing their
data. There's tons of documents to shift thru and the data isn't
organized. Cybergosse would be the perfect one to figure this crap out
but he seems to be MIA.

As well the cars sometimes seem to change lot numbers according to who
they get shipped by, where they get shipped, and then again at each stop
along the way. I suspect the guys in charge of shipping don't have a
unified theory.

I lucked out with the Pittsburgh and NYAS car by just trying Houston
since it is the main port of entry (but not the only one.) They hadn't
changed the lot number on either car so it was easy.

Basically what I'm saying is that what Earthcross lacks in computer
security they more than make up with in sloppiness.

ian

Had Ian ended his email with the paragraph about CG going MIA, I'd have been satisfied, but then he started rambling on about Earthcross and how he got lucky. Come on. It's just too much information.

So is Ian purposely sending Nisha into danger? If so why? To stall for time? Did CG figure out the same thing I did? Is CG tracking the cars as we speak and collecting the SD cards? If so, is he working with Ian or alone?

Maybe I'm reading too much into Ian's email and it was just the PM's getting wordy, but then again there is the
phone call. It sure sounds like Ian is holding something back when Nisha asks him about another way to find the cars.

Remember that Ian wanted the send the gamers (us) to the house, not Nisha.

Dunno. I think you are. When he was describing Earthcross and CG and the tons of info, my first question was, then how did you get the NYIAS car? So, the rest of his email makes sense to me. Also, Nisha doesn't ask him about another way to find the cars in the phone call. She just asks about the address. He certainly hasn't sounded very supportive of her drive to PA, so far.

You're right I should have worded that differently. Nisha basically asks Ian if he can think of another way to get the info, but they are talking about getting a lead on the next car, thus the reason for her to go to Pa.

I guess I could be reading to much into Ian rambling away in the email. but the first couple of paragraphs was enough to make the point. It's the first time with any of the interactions that it didn't sound/feel natural to me. As I said before it was way too contrived.

I think maybe Ian's just getting lonely and needs someone to talk to. Remember he's had very little human contact these past few weeks and Nisha isn't showing him much love. Maybe one of you ladies wants to ask him on a date? Smile

I don't think I'm his type. Smile

Ian keeping something from Nisha would just be par for the course. Those two are always holding back potentally important info, particularly from eachother.

Ian knows about the documents from the New York package, right? CG explained why he wasn't calling Ian and why he was using the package dropoff with Will.
