Looking at both titles together: "Never Odd or Even" suggests a number- not an odd number, and not an even number. Which makes me think of "Zero".

And...the two titles together - "never odd or even" - form a palindrome.

Meaning... Question

 		I thought zero counted as even. I don't think maths could cope with one number refusing to fit in. But it's certainly the only number that's close to not being even or odd.

 		firebox 2005 v instead of y
On page 23 of firebox 2005 catalouge "why" is spelt correctly you have just translated it incorrectly. It is a lower case L which equals Y, not an uppercase I which would be V.

 		yeah you appear to be right about zero -- there is an argument that says otherwise in number theory (i wont go into it here) but in general the definition of even numbers makes zero even

 		IIRC a negative infinity is considered odd, an a positive infinity is considered even. I remember that from studying bayesian equations...

 		Well, the only number I can think of that is not odd or even is any number in the set R\Z (all the numbers that aren't whole numbers), but I think that might be rather missing the pointv...

Just a suggestion, but instead of posting multiple Word documents, it might make more sense to put this in the Wiki. That way, it is a simple click away, anyone can contribute, and those of us that do not have Word installed do not need to track down and install a heavyweight app like OpenOffice.

I've understood what You want , and why ; but I ' m French , and that my 1rst ARG ( I've never wrote on a forum before last week ! ) some words are not very clear for me , and I don't know how and where editing in the Wiki .I've mailed the moderator , and I'm waiting for his(her) help to explain to me how going on ! (I hope I'll be fit for satisfying you and other players ; besides the Wiki' administrator is replaced by somebody who should be able to not go on and the Wiki to cease... )
