Flutesalad,

Jon was always chasing after his crazy ideas. He thought the aleph would help him find the book he'd been looking for.
Unfortunately, it didn't.

Xar's right, he found the Book of Star at Babel (Home of Hilbert's Hotel), one of the destinations on the Pathway Travel site.

He not only mentions that he has made a huge sacrifice in return for the book in the December entry of his cache, but also mentions the book on the phone message he left for us all to hear, the one where he asks for our help in finding the Aleph and the Star.

That's very true - in fact, it's kind of the other way round - he didn't need the aleph to find the book, he needed the book to tell him to look for the aleph & star. Silly me Confused

Soooo, you could be right, there could be more to the aleph, but it seems a bit odd to use it as a clue to finding the book as well as for finding Jon at Peel Castle. Or it could be a mistake, which seems a bit sloppy of the PMs. Unless of course it is someone messing with us.

so...

if bridget thinks the book is not found, and she was there when they found jon at peel castle, then jon didn't have the book of stars with him. so where is the book of stars?

Okay guys, lets sum some things up here:

According to the emails "Brigid" sent from the Flicker account:

Jon thougt that he needed the Aleph to find the Book of Star, but unfortunately it didn't help him to find it? This means he didn't have it on him when he was caught by "Brigid" and the MIB.
We know that he in fact found it in the mythical Library in Babel (Hilberts Hotel) because Jon said so in his journal (the Cache).
We also know that Jon needed to research a lead on the Murda Duh in Peel Castle, Isle of Man, and that he wanted us to help him find out "Where the/an Aleph meets the Star" And now we know from "Brigid"'s latest email that Jon needed the Aleph to decode the Book of Star.

Whites Farm is some sort of museum/holiday resort in Newark right?
I think Jon was there and hid the Book of Star. Obviously he didn't want to face the Man in Black in Peels Castle with the Book of Star in his hands...
My guess is that if someone went to find the places shown on the photos the Book of Star might very well be found! Well hidden in room T4?? in Whites Farm...??? And it could contain the next clue we need to solve the Symbols puzzle.

Is this wishful thinking or could its be real? Well, the flyer with the butterfly clue was found on a AfterDark event, so Stella Artois has taken this game onto a higher level of reality by using actual places and events to provide new clues.

Okay, those were just some wild thougts....

About ingame and out of game sites: Friends United was an out of game site that Jon used to get in contact with us or provide clues, thereby making it an In game site Wink

Seems like a total longshot to me, surely they couldn't expect people to start travelling around the country looking for clues and asking total strangers if they've seen any tridents anywhere. Could they?

It does say in the terms and conditions that the cost of travel to collect the prize is not covered in the prize itself so maybe yes we do have to start roaming around looking for clues, after all they are giving away 10 grand.

Onto different matters, I've done a search for Whites Farm at Yell.com, the UK's online yellow pages, it only returns 2 adresses that are called Whites Farm, one is in Colchester in Essex, the other is in Culcheth in Warrington, which, fortunately is only about 5 minutes drive from where I live. (I didn't even know there was a Whites Farm there!!!) Laughing

I'll do a drive by tonight to see if I can see the Whites Farm plaque that is in the photo, I'm not holding my breath but anything is worth a try right now. Very Happy

The Book of Star

Isn't that in the safe in the Hiding Room? What I can see there are two books in there, at least (one being the diary)..

Book of Star

Hi all...Navin here...long time lurker, first time poster. I believe LadyLovelylocks is correct (as I suspect others do) the Book of Star is the other book in the wall safe. I believe a different password will open the safe and allow access to the second book. And yes, there is a password that I've found in the game that has not been talked about. I've been playing since December and have not seen reference to it so far. I've "searched" the forum and didn't find mention of it either. Yes, I've been holding back in hopes of getting the money but since only UK residents can win, I don't care anymore. The problem is that it's unclear as to what that password is since it's only seen during "flash" movement. It may be all numbers or perhaps a mixture of numbers and letters. It's hard to see. I'm willing to post the location here if the "veterans" of this game think I should. Perhaps I'll be trouted for this or maybe it's just another red herring. But then again, maybe it will help end this thing.

please do. Don't forget to spoiler it. I also can't win the money because i'm not an UK resident, but after seven months (2 months playing, 4 months waiting) i'm very willing to put an end to this game.

Please

Yes, I agree. Anything that can get this thing to an end. I used to be here all the time, but now that things seemed to be dead ending, I've barely popped in and out, leaving for weeks at a time and still nothing new was found. Tell anything!!

Would it maybe be worth posting a clue to the location of this password first, just to give us some sense of acheivement at having finally solved something at long last.... Rolling Eyes I'm all for getting things rolling again, but don't make it too easy - I for one don't want things handing to me on a plate... Very Happy
