Argh, I should have payed closer attention to this at the beginning of April, I could have made it to the Manchester event.....

I guess it's possible that clues were given out in Manchester - and there are two upcoming events in London and Cardiff, although details haven't been given yet. I wonder if anyone can make it to either of these?

If the butterfly symbol has a value of 17, we could apply the Golden Ratio to that to make the values 3, 7, 10, 17, 27, 44, and 71.

If I'm right about that, all we'd need would be the right order for the symbols...

Dates, venues etc for London and Cardiff are yet to be announced, although I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that they'll be before 27th June - if of course they tie in with all this....

well the event was amazing but there was nothing else about it that had a Sable and Shuck-ness I dont think. Everything here ties too closely together (its hard for a newbie to get it actually)

But I have a couple of questions = if 17 = an ad on hornchurch.com then are there any other places you can count the symbols?

Also = where does the position and grid come into it... am i missing where this is?

Awesome some progress!! Im glad i asked you to scan that and show us. Thats definitely a clue. No ifs ands or buts. Butterfly = 17 and in slot 3
One down 5 to go.

Someone mentioned the Manchester event in april. Its a long shot but do you think we could contact the hosters of the event, the place it was held and see if any leftover fliers are left. Its probably not worth asking Stella themselves as they are hosting this game. But who knows maybe asking them for a flier might produce results.

how many events have passed since the game started? and how many are left before the end of the game? Ill look into it. Manchester was listed. We have London and Cardiff. Maybe we could look into music/movie/afterdark chats or music boards and see if any more people have noticed these clues at previous events.

Seems there are only 4. and only two have passed. that leaves us 2 clues short even assuming every event has a clue at all. Although perhaps
another clue would lead to a pattern.

I do think that you're very close with this prime number thing. I did a search on the number 17 and found the following:

2² + 3² + 5² + 7² + 11² + 13² + 17² = 666 (number of the Beast)

Missed all the feverish action on this thread so still catching up, this is all a bit surreal at the minute.

If donnied didn't have the presence of mind to see what the flyer was all about or someone else got the flyer and just binned it then maybe we would still be in the dark about this whole thing, so kudos to donnied Very Happy

I think that counting the number of butterflies in an ad on the H* web page is a little tenuous to say the least in order to solve this thing, just another expertly orchestrated co-incidence by Stella me-thinks, still wouldn't give us the order, it seems thcrc are clues everywhere after all Very Happy

Not sure if this helps but I have calculated the length of the sides of each square in the grid, given that the grid forms a golden rectangle using the ratio of 1.618:1

This gives the largest square as 1 unit square and the next 0.618 unit square and so on down to the last one which is 0.09 unit square.

Ignore the order of the symbols as this is just the order from the HWAU site. Except the Butterfly which we know is in that position with that value.

I was wondering if we could equate the value of 17 to the size of the squares in some way, maybe 17 is the area of the square? Not sure though.

Following that theory, if 17 = 0.382, then the other values (rounded to whole numbers) would be

Square 1 (biggest) = 45
Square 2 = 30
Square 3 (butterfly) = 17
Square 4 = 11
Square 5 = 6
Square 6 = 4
Square 7 (smallest, the star) = 4

But whether that is right or not we still don't know the right order for the symbols. If the trident does equal 4, then it would mean that the trident would be the smallest user-definable square. However, I'm not sure if "T4" means that the trident is 4, it seems a bit tenuous to me.

At least this theory gives us the position of three out of seven symbols (Butterfly in square 3, trident in square 6, star in square 7), but that still leaves a lot to be done.

Your maths are better than mine Bidvision, I had the largest square equalling 117!!! which is totally wrong as the boxes for the symbols only accept 2 digits. Should have listened a bit harder in class instead of trying to look up girls skirts Laughing

Your right about the Trident as well, is it position 4 or is it's value 4, from the photo of the star maybe it's showing that the first symbol nearest the star is the trident and it's value is 4, still that's just speculation, nothing concrete, at least from your calculations the first symbol would equal 4.

Yeah me too, spent my lunch break punching the combinations in but had no luck.

I think I was just pissing in the wind before, still gotta discount all possibilities though.

We're assuming that the values of the symbols are going to be a number sequence associated with something, but they could just as easily be totally arbritrary numbers, however you'd have thought that a logical/mathematical sequence would be the way to go given the nature of the game.
