SD3 passwords and their solves?

SD3 passwords and their solves?

I think I've looked everywhere but I can't find the passwords to the files that have been opened so far on SD3.

Would it be possible to have a seperate post for the passwords and their solves for each SD card?

Also, since I wasn't here when the first card was found and decoded, I'm not sure of the importance of the passwords that Ian get's using his decryption program. Where are those passwords used? Or does Ian post them just to let us know what the password was that opened up the SD card to reveal all these files?

And an important reminder I think...not everyone can or will use IRC where a lot of this stuff gets worked out so it would be great if you kept that in mind when you post solves. Thanks

I think that's mostly because we don't have any solves yet.

Well, I think we already do for SD 1 & 2, so when we get some for SD 3 it'll probably be the same way.

The passwords are generated by the decryption program on his Audi (one reason why he can't just turn it back into Audi.) The passwords he finds are only used to decrypt the main zip file - we have to find all of the other passwords. So far we haven't been able to find any larger meaning in the random passwords he gets from the decrypter - which isn't surprising since then it wouldn't be all that secure.

Maybe it's because I'm in IRC all the time that I haven't had a problem - but is there a specific solve that you're talking about that is unclear due to the fact it was solved in chat? If so, I'm sure a post in the puzzle section under that specific solve will help clear things up. Trust me - the people in chat don't mean to exclude anyone when it comes to solves or finds on the site.
