[SOLVED] Masters of Art - Artwork {VKOC}

KMS (trying to catch up on everything they've missed since Atlanta) visited Virgil's masters of art directory (potato:eaters) and found a new little flash game that has been added since it was first discovered. There is now a fifth dot on the pages after the video - and the new dot takes you to the game.

http://www.virgilkingofcode.com/mastersofart/m101.html

It looks to have the same concept as the Unfinished game - spell something out and we get a reward.

edit: looks like I'm on the right track

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It looks like we might have to name the picture

1. Irises [30 - Van Gogh] {rowan}
2. Two Women [46 - Gauguin] {madamobrien}
3. Still Life With Apples And Pears [48 - Cézanne] {missphinx}
4. By The Seashore [50 - Renoir] {rowan}
5. The Card Players [52- Cézanne] {missphinx}
6. Cypresses [54 - Van Gogh] {missphinx / rowan / drjinx / cookster}
7.The Four Trees [56 - Monet] {drjinx}
8. Haystacks [58 - Monet] {madamobrien}
9. Two Tahitian Women [60 - Gauguin] {xnbomb / yanka}

Once you solve all that, you get taken to a bunch of word searches - which we can discuss in this thread

2nd edit: I have found a good source of all things Van Gogh: http://www.vangoghgallery.com/ It contains all 864 paintings, 1037 drawings, 150 watercolors etc... This is going to take a while.

3rd edit: of course - I admit I could be completely wrong in my thinking that these are going to be all Van Gogh works. If that's not the case, then I'm probably doomed.

4th edit: so far - all of these have been found at the Metropolitian Museum of Art

5th edit: i hope i have all the solve credits right - i was mainly going by what i saw in chat, but since not everyone was in there, i've added your names as well.

It looks like there are 9 images that we need to name in the flash puzzle. I've extracted them so we can look for them all at once rather than one at a time.

I decompiled the flash to extract the images. It appears that someone wasn't happy with how we handled the last flash puzzle. There's a note in this one:

helloStr = "Good luck trying to crack this one kiddos."

All the passwords are MD5 hashed, and that is a one way deal. So we can't get from the hashes back to the passwords. But at least this way we can look at all the images at the same time.

Image60 is Paul Gauigin. Also, image 56 looks like Monet - I'll post the name of the painting if I find it (well, if it is Monet, and not something else).

EDIT: 4 minutes too late Sad

I thought someone compiled a dictionary of md5 hashes so you can go backwards from common words? I'll do a bit of digging and see if I can find something.

Edit: http://passcracking.com/

Post up the hashes or give it a whirl. Next they'll probably do it in SHA. It is only limited to 8 characters, all lower case as well. Never hurts to try.
