Today was the first day that i had issues with logging in. It wouldn't let me, but it let me reregister with the same tag so it wasn't as bad.

I get this every day, and the only way i can fix it is to re-register...

I cannot login as of 4/12/2005 at 8:41pm PDT.

I know my account still exists because when I try to create a new user with the same username, the site tells me a user already exists with that name.

<sigh>

For whatever reason, I had the same issue. My login disappeared. I had to re-register in order to access the site.

I too had to re-join the team.
I think it would be great if there were some sort of out-of-character representative of whoever was running the site to tell us what is a bug and what is 'gameplay'. When it's ambiguous, I'm not going to assume it's your 'deep gameplay'. I'm going to assume that you made a crappy web site. I'd love to see a post mortem on this after it's through.

dammit - It deleted my account and I keep getting the number doesn't match error...

whoever designed the code thing didn't put any thought into it - it keeps the same code.gif picture all the time...insted of using the usual random string of numbers.gif thing most sites do.

I'm getting the same error...i cant seem to login, my account may have been deleted...and i can't seem to re-register, it tells me "You need to go back and type the correct number". though the code.gif does seem to display random numbers, not the same everytime.

hmm... you know what makes sense now? I think they've linked IPs to the usernames...

I was able to register yesterday here at work, then went home and couldn't log in... registered another username and I could get in...
came back to work today and I didn't have to log in - I already was. Though I don't know at this point under what username... but I'm thinking they have the IPs logged for each username. If I go home and I don't have to register or re-login, then I'm pretty sure that's it.

If you have to re-register every time you come back to the site, find out if you're on a static IP or a dynamic IP... dialup users might have a problem with OC, as might dynamic IP DSL users...

plus, for some reason whenever I'm logged in, and I refresh the browser every 15-30 minutes or so, the colonists points seem to increase by 10 or 20 or more... the odd thing is rarely do any other team's points increase as well. Could there be something to do with the amount of time you're actually logged in to OC? Or do I always happen to be logged in when people keep joining yay? just odd that the points seem to increase fairly steadily while I'm logged in...

scoring just seems to be a little bit of a mystery at this point... though right now teamxbox is in first by 5000 points... Confused

methinks the hammer may fall soon Razz
