[CHAOS] Shadow > Whatwewerelike > Lookingglass Catch-u

Okay.. Just to review..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
www.freewebs.com/morganparanormal/shadow.htm was solved by counting the third letter inside the jibberish. If you did that, it spelt out whatwerelike, or.. "What we're like". Which in full was Whatwewerelike.

And then..

www.freewebs.com/morganparanormal/whatwewerelike.htm, this one contained some backwards text. Which translated too an extract of the twin's past..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Richard is leaving for school today. I asked him if he was
going to forget about me. He said he wouldn't because we're
twins and twins are like two sides of a mirror. You can't
have one without the other. Then he told me that the Tall
Man says that he is like the glass in between. I don't know
what that means...
(thanks labfly)

It's still a trail though, although I don't see how the clockwork at the bottom is relevant..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the source it reads "Poor Alice!", Alice's second adventure was where she went through the mirror. The book's title is "Through the looking glass", and the mirror is referred to as looking glass through the book. I'm guessing that's what mirrors used to be called.. Anyway, I expected that to be a base of a further puzzle.. But good ol' Hikari comes back with..

www.freewebs.com/morganparanormal/lookingglass.htm

The newest page has some encrypted text, a picture of the basin with "THE LIE" across it. And some 'taps'..
I think these have been encrypted but I'm not quite sure what they are.

----------

When the time ran out, Layla's blog soon updated with some random gibberish.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think it was Randy that figured out it was signed 'Eric', and using that we could work out what the gibberish translated to..
Moments later.. It was updated and a part of the text, a quote, had been changed to English.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Then someone figured out what the text was.. Somehow.. I think.. I don't know how they did it, it was just a decoder one. (If someone could post that, it'd be helpful). The text also has some spelling mistakes which seem to spell something, although the first four letters 'from', only seem to suggest this. The rest doesn't seem to make sense (Again, can someone post/solve this bit, I wasn't there).

I think we're currently working out the binary from the 'taps'? I don't know.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense Razz[/spoiler]

I'll pick up where you left off. Smile

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The taps were found to be binary, which when decoded was "2" which led to -

www.freewebs.com/morganparanormal/2.htm

Which has a very long story in the source, which has been decoded elsewhere in the forums.

Then Morgan's site updated. (DUN DUN DUNN)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The front page went blank, and shortly afterward updated so the only thing on the page was the word PIPER.

This led us to

www.freewebs.com/morganparanormal/thepiedpiper.htm

The two stories in the source codes fit together (I believe Piper comes first). Smile

Sorry if that's backwards. My mind's foggy now - I've been up too long and used too much brainpower today. Razz At least it's up now, right?

... Right? Rolling Eyes

tall man = piper

Coud it be that the Tall Man and Pied Piper are one and the same?

I may be way off track but there are some similaritise - tall, taking children away, there's mention of a siren song from the Tall Man and the Piper used music to steal the children

I don't know what it would mean if they were the same person....just speccing.

TEMPUS FINIS =

time limit / end / boundary.

Which is making me think of 'boundary' words.

Obes.

Making use of this double post....

What if TEMPUS ORBIS means 'Time around the world (GMT)' and

TEMPUS FINIS means 'Time's end (International date line)'

I don't know how that'd help really, but I'm guessing something might happen either at midnight GMT tonight, or..

Which is more worrying, is that something violent will happen at Midnight tonight. I really don't want to worry Layla, but I think she shouldn't be home tonight, to be on the safe side.

Obes.
