[IRC] Council of Perceptions meeting

Here is the chatlog just before, during and after the recent Council of Perceptions meeting. Enjoy.

<Uriel> It is nearly impossible to tell someone's state of mind via this medium.

<Mikhail> We do not have the manpower to personally visit all these humans.
<Uriel> The security risks in doing that is also too high
<Jibril> May I suggest something?
<Mikhail> Of course
<Jibril> Voice patterns can indicate stress as well as overall state of mind quite well.
<Jibril> Setting up voice to voice meetings would not be as hard as shifting for each human.
<Uriel> Is this true Raphael?
<Raphael> Jibril is correct.
<Raphael> It is far easier to hear someone's heart through their voice than through this medium.
<Jibril> Mikhail?
<Mikhail> Let us vote.
<Mikhail> Those in favor of voice interviews, aye. Those not in favor, nay.

<Mikhail> When should these be conducted?
<Uriel> I have no idea. These humans are hard to contact at times.
<Jibril> Prince Mikhail, is you allow my angels to handle this investigation I can have it done within two Earthly days.
<Mikhail> Very well
<Mikhail> Jibril, the Angels of Communications shall handle the calling. Raguel's Angels of Justice shall do the actual interviews, however.
<Jibril> Very well, my Prince
<Mikhail> Next item.
<Mikhail> Should we allow the humans access to the evidence?
<Uriel> Not until after we have determined who has worked for Azrael.
<Raphael> I agree with Uriel.
<Mikhail> You believe we should still allow them this opportunity?
<Jibril> No.
<Uriel> Jibril?! You out of all of us encouraged the participation of the humans the most.
<Mikhail> Explain.
<Jibril> They have shown that they are easily swayed by Azrael and his like.
<Jibril> It would be a disaster to allow them to have access to this evidence, and hand it over to Lucifer's minions on Earth.
<Raphael> We do not know where these clues lead us.
<Raphael> We must have their help to decipher the true meanings.
<Jibril> No.
<Jibril> Allow Raguel's angels to work on it further, and allow the Angels of Death to finish their search of purgatory.
<Uriel> You realize that could take nearly a millenia?
<Jibril> Yes.
<Uriel> Do you think that it is worth the wait?
<Jibril> Better that Raziel should suffer the vast, cold darkness of purgatory for a thousand years than to allow his soul to fall into the wrong hands.
<Raphael> A good point, I suppose.
<Mikhail> A vote then.
<Mikhail> Those in favor of denying the humans access to the evidence, aye. Those in favor of allowing them access once Azrael's accomplices have been identified, nay.
<Uriel> Aye
<Jibril> Aye
<Raphael> A tough decision
<Raphael> I feel that the humans are more help than hindrance.
<Raphael> Nay
<Mikhail> Very well.
<Mikhail> This is indeed a tough decision.
<Mikhail> However, I believe it speaks volumes that Jibril should be the one to suggest this course of action.
<Mikhail> He out of all of us knows these humans best.
<Mikhail> I, too, vote aye.
<Mikhail> The humans will not be allowed access to the evidence.
<Raphael> May the Lord prove our course rightful.
<Mikhail> Our final issue is whether to allow them to attend the Conclave in two Earthly days time.
<Uriel> I see no reason to deny them.
<Uriel> They have behaved thus far, and have contributed much to our investigation.
<Raphael> I agree
<Jibril> I agree only if Azrael's accomplices have been found by that time.
<Mikhail> Very well.
<Mikhail> If Azrael's accomplices among mankind have been found, we shall bar them from the Conclave, and allow the rest to watch.
<Mikhail> This concludes this Council.

<Uriel> There are rumors that the Guard of Azrail has reformed, which would be a terrible thing indeed.
<Darkstar> What is the Guard of Azrail?
<angels1287> what would that entail?

<Raphael> The Guard formed when Lucifer had his War.
<Raphael> It consisted of Azrael, Camael, Malik, Azazel, and Jibril.
<Dead-Eyes> Jibril you say?
<Raphael> Well, he preferred Gabriel then.
<Dead-Eyes> Ah, I see
<Uriel> They claimed to be a neutral, third party.
<Uriel> Guardians of the Throne of God.
<Uriel> Azrael emerged as the leading force.
<Uriel> He was one of the seniormost members of the Council at the time.
<Raphael> Yes, they formed as protection of God's Throne.
<Raphael> Azrael was Lucifer's best friend in Heaven, and he did everything he could to dissuade Lucifer from his course of action.
<Uriel> The story I heard had it that Azrael was actually successful in this, and Lucifer was going to bend the knee to Yeshua, when Mikhail came along.
<Raphael> Those are just rumors.
<angels1287> what did mikhail do?
<Uriel> That depends on who you talk to, now doesn't it?
<Raphael> Heh. Indeed.
<Dead-Eyes> So, you think the "new" Guard would be involved with the fallen one?
<Uriel> Mikhail taunted Lucifer.

<Raphael> We do not know.
<Raphael> Any 'new' Guard would be much different.
<Darkstar> Hmm.
<Uriel> Yes...
<Darkstar> So Mikhail taunted Lucifer, provoking him into his final act?
<Uriel> Mikhail taunted Lucifer into rebellion, then gathered as many angels as he could to lead against the rebel's army, which was quite large of itself.
<Raphael> The Guard proclaimed neutrality, for various reasons.
<Raphael> Azrael was Lucifer's friend, as were Malik and Camael.
<Uriel> Jibril was Mikhail's friend, but it was unknown whether Mikhail's actions were strictly in accordance with His Will
<angels1287> so jibril was also neutral in the war?
<Raphael> Azazel, it turned out, had much darker motivations.
<Uriel> Yes.
<Darkstar> I did some reading up on Azazel just now... he Fell, correct?
<Darkstar> By your hand, Raphael
<Raphael> That is correct
<Uriel> During the final battle, it seemed as though Lucifer would win.
<Uriel> Jibril had a sudden change of heart, and led part of the Guard against Lucifer.
<Raphael> Meanwhile, Azazel, who was in fact working for Shaytan himself, led another part of the Guard against Mikhail.
<Uriel> Both sides thought they had the support of the Guard.
<Darkstar> When neither did.
<Uriel> Correct.
<Uriel> Mikhail's numbers grew much larger with the addition of Jibril's contingent.
<Dead-Eyes> May I ask, so when it comes to war in Heaven, is not taking a side as bad as siding against Heaven?
<Uriel> The tides turned when Azazel was revealed to be a traitor, when Raphael struck him down.
<Raphael> It certainly did not win Azrael any friends among the victorious that day.
<Dead-Eyes> I see.
<Uriel> Azrael attempted to have Jibril cast out of Heaven, but Mikhail would not allow it, instead allowing many of Jibril's followers to take the blame.
<Darkstar> Is there a reason for this?
<Raphael> For what?
<Darkstar> For Mikhail having Jibril's followers take the blame
<Raphael> Of course.
<Raphael> Jibril delivered the battle to Mikhail.
<Raphael> Without him, Mikhail would have been cast out.
<Uriel> Mikhail is a noble fellow when it comes down to it, and he found that he could not cast out the angel who delivered victory to him.
<Darkstar> I see.
<Uriel> So he settled for blaming it on lower ranking angels.
<Darkstar> Why did Mikhail want the war in the first place? Pride seems to be the main reason.
<Raphael> Well...
<Darkstar> Seeing as Lucifer was Prince at the time...
<angels1287> was he at all envious?
<Uriel> As Raphael said earlier, they are just rumors, heheh.
<Raphael> Yes, just rumors.
<Darkstar> If Azrael had succeeded in persuading Lucifer to bow to Yeshua, and if Mikhail (supposedly) hadnt taunted him, all that could have been stopped.
<Darkstar> But yes, they are rumours.
<Raphael> Yes.
<Raphael> Lucifer would have remained Prince of Seraphim.
<Uriel> So, you can see why any new Guard would be very different from the original.
<Darkstar> Well yes.
<Uriel> Azazel was Fallen, and Jibril has never gotten along with Azrael since then.
<Darkstar> Why is it seen as a threat?
<Darkstar> The Guard I mean.
<Uriel> The very formation of a new Guard would indicate war, just as it did last time.
<Uriel> Whether it can be averted or not is unknown though...
<Dead-Eyes> !
<Darkstar> Well, the Guard is designed to aert war, according to the rumours.

<Raphael> Yes, but the existence of the Guard means there is a definite threat OF war
<Dead-Eyes> The idea of any hostility taking place in Heaven is frightfull itself
<Darkstar> I see. But then, shouldn't the angels be focusing on finding the war, not the prevention of it.
<Uriel> Indeed
<Darkstar> Yes it is frightful, but I was under the impression that the Guard was around to stop it
<Raphael> You are thinking of it as a replay of sorts.
<Raphael> This time, however, there is no Lucifer...
<Raphael> There is only Mikhail, and the Guard, if they have been reformed.
<Darkstar> Yes...
<Darkstar> I can see why Mikhail is wary of the Guard.
<Darkstar> Azraels connections with Lucifer are obvious
<Uriel> Indeed
<Raphael> To put it lightly
<Darkstar> Well, it has been an insightful night, but I really must go to sleep.

<Uriel> Yes, we have stayed behind to long as is.

So has there been any explanation as to why there is absolutely NO ONE in the IRC chats? We could have missed a billion and one things, considering that the packages are out now!

well, i don't think anyone was there mainly because nothing was happening

we had a good amount of down time (no updated sites, no messages from anyone) the packages are the only thing saying it's still alive
