Battle Garegga?
Seriously, I can't stand these cryptic hints. I got similarly annoyed with By Another Name. Basically, we know the answers to these cards. We just keep getting them slightly wrong, cards like this stop being fun VERY quickly. Please, just tell us. Thanks.

I have emailed cardsSPLATperplexcity.com listing the answers I have and websites showing the codes exist for these games.

I'll post here if they add the games to the accepted answers or offer any advice.

Kvasir hasn't solved the card, so his hint isn't necessarily correct.

Very true although his hint did make me go and have another search using ask jeeves, which managed to cut out K-1 and some japanese baseball game and actually show older games like turtles III and battle garegga. so I guess locking our thinking in K-1 was a mistake cos to be honest I never heard of it and although its the 1 of the only 1 that comes up on the searches, that just proves the popularity of playstation vs other consoles more than it being a famous game!

Ok, so I have recieved an answer from MC.

The answers I suggested were:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. K1 - The Arena Fighters
2. Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition
3. Sim City
4. Doom
5. The Sims
6. Super Mario Kart
7. Out Of This World
8. Tomb Raider
9. Wing Commander
10. Jet Set Willy

And they responded saying:
Quote:
1. There's a simpler description of this one than the one you've supplied
2. And for this one...
7. And an alternate name for this one.

Which makes me think the answers to all but 1, 2, and 7 were correct.

This means the answer to 7 must be:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Another World

And 1 and 2 are correct but simpler versions are needed, possibly:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. Could be "K-1", "K1" or "The Arena Fighters"
and 2. could be "Street Fighter II" or "Street Fighter 2"

I have run out of tries for today but will try combinations of those tomorrow.

Hope this helps and we crack this soon!

If anyone has read the new issue of the Sentinel it says all the cards have been solved but 2, the 13th labour and a second one I forgot(sorry I'm in a hurry Halloween festivities to attend and all) but it's not this card! Which means someone has solved this and won't throw us a bone. To whomever has solved this card (and we all know you watch this forum) Help!!! Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad

The quote from the sentinel is
Quote:
The first-wave cards that remain entirely unsolved include #251, The Thirteenth Labour, and #238, Riemann. Some analysts suggest that these cards may never be solved by Earth players.

Which suggests there are other unsolved cards, it just so happens that they think we will never solve #251 and #238. Someone may have solved the card, but the Sentinel doesn't help us one way or the other. Does anyone fancy searching through the list of solved cards for everyone on the leaderboad? Although I imagine if someone had solved it and wanted to help they would have posted by now.

Brian Morton -- That's a little misleading: it actually says that "a few" of the first wave haven't been solved, including Riemann and The 13th Labour. It goes on to possibly hint that these cards (probably specifically those two) may never be solved.

That's a bit of a stretch, but I see it as a perfectly valid parse.

I would interpret that as a hint meaning that most but not all of first wave have been solved, and specifically that those two of them are not solvable.

I (incorrectly) used up my three turns for today on:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Arena Fighters / Street Fighter II / Another World
K1 / Street Fighter II / Another World
K-1 Arena Fighters / Street Fighter II / Another World

For 1. I was thinking:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Mortal Kombat

It was the code to turn the gore on if I remember right

But I may be wrong

I just tried

Incorrect.....again!

If someone has solved this card, it is only fair to put us out of our misery!

Might as well add my failures to the pile:

Attempt 1-
K-1
Street Fighter 2
Another World

Attempt 2-
K-1 The Arena Fighters
Street Fighter II
Another World

Attempt 3-
K1 The Arena Fighters
Street Fighter II
Another World

Grr. Evil or Very Mad

EDIT: I suggest "K1 (or K-1) Arena Fighters" for #1. This seems to be what it's listed as at a lot of game cheat sites.
