OK - so having used up my attempts for today, does someone want to try
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Konami Code (or maybe The Konami Code)
Street Fighter II (or Street Fighter 2)
Sim City
Doom
The Sims
Super Mario Kart
Another World
Tomb Raider
Wing Commander
Jet Set Willy

and let us know how you get on?

And if there's a misprint, why the hell doesn't it say so on the answer page?!

Would it not be
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Contra
?

NB: I do not have this card, if I did, I'd try it myself.

I just got a similar email from MC stating the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
#1 is wrong!
#2 will work with either Street Fighter II or Street Fighter 2
#3 will work with either SimCity or Sim City
And apparently either "Out of This World" or "Another World" will work for #7

Anyway, I just burnt my tries using Contra (most famous use of the code), Gradius (orignal game with the code), and Contra Code for #1. Has anyone figured the thing out yet?

EDIT: Goblin, you can tell us. That's what spoiler tags are for. We're quite frustrated enough as it is.

...You're kidding. My answer was invalid because I didn't use the word "the" before Contra Code?

Oh, I am so gonna burn this card. Just as soon as I get my points. Razz

And thanks, HG. Much appreciated. Smile

Bloody good work old chap or chapette! I am not worthy. I promise that, out of respect, I will never make eye-contact with you and will always have an air of awe about me when I read your posts.

Now, I shall go and take my medication. Laughing

Well done! At last someone solved it! Must admit the continual failed attempts was beginning to wear me down!

Typical that isn't it? why didnt they tell us about the misprint in the 1st email that someone sent???? We could of saved alot of hair pulling on this!!

Again well done honest goblin! welcome to the club! Laughing

edit: hmmm the answers won't work in either lower case or capitals for the 1st letter.......

Oh, man. I tried it with just "Contra" a while back without "the" and "code," and it didn't work.

I used up my last chance today at getting it right with the above-mentioned answers, but I must have mistyped something because it told me it was incorrect. Now I get to wait another 24 hours.

kudos to Honest Goblin.
However it's not working for me either, upper or lower case. What a nightmare.
Has anyone else had a correct for this?

Right. Here goes, and no, I don't want any adulation, I simply pieced together the bits and pieces along with the rest of you, and was one of a number of people who sent emails requesting help (although, I did it to Kurt, as it is one of his bloomin' cards!)

I think Mind Candy got the message that the nature of a card with 10 possible answers, each one of which might have multiple options for entry, combined with a pair of typo's was perhaps asking a bit much Wink

Anyway. Collaboration people, "To work together, especially in a joint intellectual effort.". Good efforts, all round.

J

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Contra Code (No "The")
Street Fighter 2
Sim City
Doom
The Sims
Super Mario Kart
Another World
Tomb Raider
Wing Commander
Jet Set Willy

Hope that this helps - my solve was accepted.
