Don't know how you guys have done with this over the last few days.

My two cents:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Attempt 1:

K-1: The Arena Fighters
Streetfighter 2
Sim City
Doom
The Sims
Super Mario Kart
Out of this World
Tomb Raider
Wing Commander
Jet Set Willy

Attempt 2:

Same but Streetfighter II

Attempt 3:

Same but Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition

And guess what? No joy.

With regards to #3, if I remember correctly,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SimCity 2000 (Sim City 2000?) also had the FUND cheat code, and it happened to deal with it a strange way if you typed it three times.
Has anyone tried that? I am, as usual, waiting for 24 more hours to roll round.

Could be, although no mention of it being any different on the Game Genie site.

Hoping to find *one* exact name on a box, I did a Google images search for "street fighter 2" game which revealed Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II, Hyper Street Fighter II, anniversary editions, etc, etc, etc... depending on which game system you're using. I'm too frustrated to even go back to check which system uses that cheat, or if it was more than one system. Here we go again... ARRRGH!!! Mad

Well it would seem to be the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive version, given the combination of buttons given (the SNES for example had no Z button). If so then that means it would be Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition. Which I should have tried earlier but left the"special" out. Wish I'd noticed the earlier posts by riiick and quadschick. Embarassed

One thing I have just noticed which I vaguely remember at the time. The title had a somewhat unexplained apostrophe in it like so: Street Fighter II', I have a link here

Surely they couldn't be that pedantic? Confused

Argh...sorry, tried to account for the possibilities you mentioned above, but bodged it through fatigue.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Neither:-
Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition

Street Fighter II:Special Champion Edition

nor

Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition'

will work, in combination with the other suggestions above.

Will re-attempt with the correct syntax, unless someone else unlocks before I do and wishes to give it a whirl

Whilst trawling the web to confirm answers to this card I noticed that No. 4 is also a cheat for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3...I tried this with previous combinations and guess what...It didn't work...arrgghh. Exclamation

I'll just have to wait another 24 to try and solve this again.

Doom 3
The Sims: House Party
and Dance Dance Revolution instead of Super Mario Kart

This card is looking more and more ugly, having more possible combinations than 'By Another Name' and 'Freefall'. I hope all purple cards aren't going to be like this! I've tried so many, I can't even keep track any more! Shocked

As I stated before, a drop-down multiple choice answer box would sure be nice! Rolling Eyes

Mind Candy, can you hear me now? Laughing

Yep, it's doing my head in too. 3 more attempts used up.

This time i tried
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition
Street Fighter II' Special Champion Edition
and Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition with Another World for Q7.

I'm now thinking something else is probably wrong. I am wondering about no.3, simply because the cheat for Sim City was just "Fund", not three in a row, although you could enter it several times subsequently.

Oh well, I look forward to my daily frustration tomorrow evening...

OK, wasted three goes for today.

According to this site: http://members.fortunecity.com/blockyer/simcity.htm
it is SimCity 2000 (does it have a space? google scores suggest not) that is the triple.

You could do the "fund" cheat at max three times in one year--more would net you an earthquake. As for SimCity 2000, the "fund" cheat is different and a little more complicated. As I've read it at other sites, you only enter "fund" twice, then issue bonds the proper way for lots of cash.

And Dusty, the SF2 code is for a six-button controller, while Street Fighter II Turbo was released for the SNES, which has a four-button controller. If it helps anyone narrow their searches, the only systems I know of that have six buttons labelled A, B, C, X, Y, and Z are the Sega Genesis (the six button controller was a special item) and Saturn, and the Nintendo Gamecube (although C on the Gamecube is a direction-stick, not a button per se).

No 1

I found a game called G4 that had the same cheat as 1? If that helps?

Just checked out cheat codes for another world, definitely not that game for Q7, although they are 4 letter codes. Wasn't there a sequel to this game? could be that?

and Q4 is gonna be either
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Doom 1, Doom 2 OR Final Doom, not Doom 3

Q6 is certainly
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Super Mario Kart
Just dug it out to have a play on it and the code works! Very Happy

That FUND FUND FUND one is confusing....perhaps its actually a key off maybe a spectrum or atari 2600 rather than a typed in code? Notice start is written the same same way on Q1, would imply that Q3 is a button.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
simcity or simcity 2000

time to start looking at older computers i think, it must be a button, although a button on computer named FUND?
