o.k, so jamesi doesn't want me to post because this is a "out-of-game" board, i'm new here so i don't know what's what so i'll try to find the proper "board", if i can [/i]
First rule of puppetmastering; make sure you are familar with the medium and the field before you design and launch a game. UF doesn't support in-game posting on threads because it confuses things. We are strictly out of game - in some ways it allows more room for puppetmasters to come up with news ways to get their narrative across to the players. I do condone in-game posting too, but I have to agree in a lot of cases it creates havoc.

My advice to you is, if you still want this game to work, go away and rewrite the bits that rely on posting in character on this board. Make them able to rely on talking through E-mail perhaps, or AIM, or web sites. That's your best bet, because there is no board on Unfiction that will allow you to post in-character.

Other options include using another forum such as Immersion Unlimited, or creating an in-game website with a forum. Blogs which allow comments can become unwieldy but they have been used in past games. "Push, NV" created a community forum on ________ (it was like Yahoo!Groups but it was run from a Netscape site, I just can't remember where). It quickly became confusing when in-game characters were being told that they are just fictional creations by spoilsports who wouldn't play along.

Let's make something very clear: it's not that I don't want you to post here. It's perfectly alright to post on these forums, regardless if you are running a game or not. However, It's not alright to continue to post in a thread dedicated to a game you have created and are actively a part of behind-the-scenes.
I would agree with Crowfoot and Catherwood -- there are other ways to go about creating and maintaining an in-game message board system. Might I suggest ProBoards ?

Back in the day.... Back in the old days this would of been tagged:
I agree with crowfoot...launch could be more inventive and research your audience, venue .. etc.
Although... content is interesting
Good luck...

I'm quite interested! The blog sets up the possibilty of two sides working against each other. That's my kind of game!
I'm hoping that this Black_Awakening fella is a swell game maker but merely unaware of the local etiquette. I'm lookin' on the bright side

I think this will probably play out better on IU if the PM wants to do in game posting, but they are continuing with it anyway as I received a reply from the email:

Welcome to the team, private. I will notify you and the rest of the
team when we receive anything from the Blooshed.

Despite the dodgy launch I've sent my email, hopefully I'll be let in. Looks like it could be good fun
