Numerology - What does your name tell about you?

http://www.paulsadowski.com/Numbers.asp

There are 14 letters in your name.
Those 14 letters total to 75
There are 5 vowels and 9 consonants in your name.

Your number is: 3

The characteristics of #3 are: Expression, verbalization, socialization, the arts, the joy of living.

The expression or destiny for #3:
An Expression of 3 produces a quest for destiny with words along a variety of lines that may include writing, speaking, singing, acting or teaching; our entertainers, writers, litigators, teachers, salesmen, and composers. You also have the destiny to sell yourself or sell just about any product that comes along. You are imaginative in your presentation, and you may have creative talents in the arts, although these are more likely to be latent. You are an optimistic person that seems ever enthusiastic about life and living. You are friendly, loving and social, and people like you because you are charming and such a good conversationalist. Your ability to communicate may often inspire others. It is your role in life to inspire and motivate; to raise the spirits of those around you.

(Okay, I wanted to be an actress as I was growing up, but then practical side of me - not to mention I was not model-slim and didn't have any family members already in the business to open the doors)

The negative side of number 3 Expression is superficiality. You may tend to scatter your forces and simply be too easygoing. It is advisable for the negative 3 to avoid dwelling on trivial matters, especially gossip.

(I have no idea what that meant)

Your Soul Urge number is: 8

A Soul Urge number of 8 means:
With an 8 soul urge, you have a natural flare for big business and the challenges imposed by the commercial world. Power, status and success are very important to you. You have strong urges to supervise, organize and lead. Material desires are also very pronounced. You have good executive abilities, and with these, confidence, energy and ambition.

Your mind is analytical and judgment sound; you're a good judge of material values and also human character. Self-controlled, you rarely let emotions cloud judgment. You are somewhat of an organizer at heart, and you like to keep those beneath you organized and on a proper track. This is a personality that wants to lead, not follow. You want to be known for your planning ability and solid judgment.

(Okay, I can understand that - but I always blamed it on my sun sign, Capricorn)

The negative aspects of the 8 soul urge are the often dominating and exacting attitude. You may have a tendency to be very rigid, sometimes stubborn.

(Stubborn, like the Capricorn goat)

Your Inner Dream number is: 4

A Inner Dream number of 4 means:
You dream of being a very solid citizen that people can depend upon. You strive for organization and predictable order. You want to be recognized as a person with a plan and the discipline to make that plan work like clockwork.

(I can see this in myself, sure.)

Oooh, cold reading! Fun! Lets see how vague the reading is, and how wrong the specifics are, shall we?

Your number is: 1

I'm number one, apparently.

The characteristics of #1 are: Initiating action, pioneering, leading, independent, attaining, individual.

Nope, lazy; maybe; nope, lazy; certainly; who isn't?; who isn't?

1 thing right out of 4 falsifiable statements. The last two are unfalsifiable to enough extent that they don't count.

The expression or destiny for #1:
A number 1 Expression denotes the skilled executive with keen administrative capabilities. You must develop the capacity to be a fine leader, sales executive, or promoter. You have the tools to become an original person with a creative approach to problem solving, and a penchant for initiating action. Someone may have to follow behind you to handle the details, but you know how to get things going and make things happen. You have a good mind and the ability to use it for your advancement. Because of these factors, you have much potential for achievement and financial rewards. Frequently, this expression belongs to one running a business or striving to achieve a level of accomplishment on ones talents and efforts. You have little need for much supervision, preferring to act on your own with little restraint. You are both ambitious and determined. Self-confident and self-reliant must be yours, as you develop a strong unyielding will and the courage of your convictions.

I don't like to lead or initiate. I do, however, like to be original and solve problems creatively. Everyone has the ability to use their mind for their advancement, as well as achieve a level of accomplishment on one's talents and efforts. Talk about blanket statements. I'm not ambitious - I don't care enough. The last point is specific enough that it could be wrong, yet for me it is correct.

Continuing with our (highly estimated) running tally, that's 5 out of 11 useful statements.

Although you fear loneliness, you want to be left alone. You fear routine and being in a rut. You often jump the gun because you are afraid of being left behind.

I can't tell whether these are blanket statements or not, so I'll give the reading the benefit of the doubt. They seem bloody vague, though. Yes, yes, and huh-I-don't-understand.

7 out of 14.

The negative attributes of the 1 Expression are egotism and a self-centered approach to life. This is an aggressive number and if it is over-emphasized it is very hard to live with. You do not have to be overly aggressive to fulfill your destiny. The 1 has a natural instinct to dominate and to be the boss; adhering to the concept of being number One. Again, you do not have to dominate and destroy in order to lead and manage.

I don't try to dominate and I don't want to be the boss. So, like, this is totally wrong.

7 out of 16. (Recall that I'm estimating the amount of statements and being relatively generous.)

Your Soul Urge number is: 5

A Soul Urge number of 5 means:
The 5 soul urge or motivation would like to follow a life of freedom, excitement, adventure and unexpected happening. The idea of travel and freedom to roam intrigues you. You are very much the adventurer at heart. Not particularly concerned about your future or about getting ahead, you can seem superficial and unmotivated.

Depending on whether everyone wants freedom and excitement or not, this set of statements could be bull or not. Again giving the benefit of the doubt, it is accurate and could've been wrong.

10 out of 19.

In a positive sense, the energies of the number 5 make you very adaptable and versatile. You have a natural resourcefulness and enthusiasm that may mark you as a progressive with a good mind and active imagination. You seem to have a natural inclination to be a pace-setter. You are attracted to the unusual and the fast paced.

Adaptiveness and versatility are a trait that all humans posess. Sorry, not special! I don't think I've ever set the pace. However, the last point exactly describes my tastes, especially in music.

11 out of 22.

You may be overly restless and impatient at times. You may dislike the routine work that you are engaged in, and tend to jump from activity to activity, without ever finishing anything. You may have difficulty with responsibility. You don't want to be tied down to a relationship, and it may be hard to commit to one person.

This set of statements pretty much stems from the "hate being in a routine/rut" and "want freedom" statements from earlier. They're specific examples reiterating those points. No change to the score!

11 out of 22, still.

Your Inner Dream number is: 5

A Inner Dream number of 5 means:
You dream of being totally free and unrestrained by responsibility. You see yourself conversing and mingling with the natives in many nations, living for adventure and life experiences. You imagine what you might accomplished.

Look, even more examples of earlier statements being restated as specific cases! I'm adventurous, though, so what the hell: I'll give another point.

Final tally: 12 out of 23.

Because I've been assigning points based on the truth status of each statement, I can say that this reading is approximately 52.1 % true. That's only a bit better than chance, and note that I've been generous with the definition of "true" and also estimating the number of statements that could be either true or false.

Since any statement I considered in the tally could be either true or false, and there were 23 statements, the expected truth percentage of a reading if the statements could be randomly true or false for any person is 50%, or 11.5 true statements. I got 12 true statements.

Thus, a set of statements that could be randomly true or false about anyone is pretty much just as good as the "personalized" numerology report above.

In conclusion, I need to stop taking so many statistics classes only to make hand-wavy analyses of online cold readings.

And, I'm number one.

while you get that tingly feeling, I have to agree with Rob Magus here... every statement was the equivalent of "you don't want to kill puppies with sledgehammers." Of COURSE I don't want to do that. Unless the sentence read more like "you sometimes have to sleep" when the answer is "yeah. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't." (Dude this guy KNOWS me!) I don't mean to be so cynical... (although that's all I've really been in my postings tonight... must be that #3 meal I ate at McDonalds earlier...WHOA! #3!)

But yeah, same as most horoscopes, IMO. Blanket statements that only a small minority would outright disagree with, to ensure that EVERYONE gets what they can agree with.

You dream of artistic expression; writing, painting, music.

all that bs about climbing the corporate ladder, financial gain, and leadership- well that was clearly blowing hot air up the clackers of the main people hitting that site. ie: people who think barney is just a cute harmless dinosaur. and i say poo poo to all that corporate whorism clap trap.
