codeword: patriot You say: codeword: patriot
Weiss Says: Just before our field agents picked up Woleski, he was on a website
called DiscoverHometown.com. He was probably posing as a business man and
arranging the final meeting with BillyMarlin and SteveO. Go there and pick up the trail,
and find that meeting! Respond back with the location using 'Patriot: [location]'.

Scroll down further. There is an earlier message referencing a different paper. I suspect trolling on the reference you found.

[I couldn't access the free classified ads on discoverhometown.com, so I looked at

It would be a shame if you retired now. You could still play for a few more years,
and prove that old men get it done just a sgood as a young man! Experience matters!
Leaving your secrets behind is strictly comedy. We love you! Billy Fish
[again with the typo: a sgood]
I'm guessing the code means something Q1 A11 Z20 but at the moment my brain is fried
and I'm resisting the temptation to consult the post right now.

"... is strictly comedy ."
One to a series of numbers (I'm assuming the 10/25 post by po wo is a troll).
5 9 19 3 13 9 24 19 11 13 3 22 9 7
I don't think Billy's is real, as it is from 10/24.

Got this info off the official ABC board for the game.
*spoiler for the rest of Patriot*
------------------------------------------------------------
Turns out the numbers given in the original post (by po wo) are incorrect, and the second (10/25) post gives the correct ones (last number is changed to 26).
Using your keyboard and the Q1/A-11/Z20 numbers given in Pol's post on DiscoverHometown.com you decode the numbers as TOLEDOBLADECOM, or toledoblade.com.
Going to its Small Town: A way of life forum, you get the following message from Pol:
I'd like to meet with a couple of friends to talk about how we can change the world.
Can you make it to our group meeting?

Going to http://www.evite.com/luau_surefer@go.com/skdhi gives you an address for a meeting, and giving that to Weiss makes him happy.
Weiss Says: GREAT job. I'm forwarding this information to another Agent, who will set up the intercept. We have one last piece of buisiness - to catch BillyMarlin. IronicTwist reports that Darcy also logged on to the Standard's web site. Go back and see if you can pick up Billy's trail from there. Respond back with 'Patriot: [city]'. Good luck.
Okay. In the Standard's .TX Teen Talk forum, the thread 'Talk to Darcy' gives a partial phone number. Despite what Weiss says, fonefinder.com didn't help at all, but switchboard.com (found on the ABC Alias 2.0 board) did.
The answer is Eugene Oregon. And instead of emailing the information to the CIA, I'm sending it here

If by significant, you mean necessary to complete the operation, then no.
If there is a bigger picture puzzle we haven't discovered yet, maybe.

Connected to Agent Weiss on SecNetComm.
Weiss says: Weiss here. How can I help you?
You say: patriot: eugene OR
Weiss Says: This guy is ours. Email that intel to me at Weiss.CIA.DCHubSPLAT twdc.com,
and I'll get this out to a field op ASAP. Make sure you put 'Operation Roundup' in the
subject line. Finally, I've got something to smile about!
I sent the intel to Weiss.CIA.DCHubSPLAT twdc.com and got the following (edited) reply.
Date: Sat, 26 Oct 2002 10:25:35 -0700

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that, due to your recent success intercepting Maimonides' Enigma, you have been accepted into our online agent program. Congratulations!
You've been assigned the codename *****. From now on, please use this codename to identify yourself.
Don't respond to this email. Contact me through the SecNetComm. Your next codeword will be 'Northridge.'

The transaction of Maimonides' Enigma went off without a hitch. We
passed off the fake documents to Burt Arceneaux, aka Billy Marlin, with
no problem. If SD-8 uses these bogus forecasts to try and corner the
Nikkei, they're going to end up poorer than a failed internet start-up.
We've also got enough bugs on Arceneaux that he'll never get rid of
them
all. He'll be a font of information.
As for Woleski we picked him up in Hanalei, and he's stored away for
good. We got a couple extra secrets out of him, to boot.
All in all, an easy mission, thanks to the good intel.
I'm guessing the codenames are randomly assigned by the auto-responder. Is that technically possible?

According to the first email response from Weiss (Operation Alpha) the hotel room 'Billy' had stayed in was recently occupied by a 'Bertrand Arceneaux' and a 'Burt Arceneaux' was on a list of suspected SD-8 operatives.
My quess is that's what 'ba' stands for: his name/alias.
As to codenames being randomly assigned... I'm not thinking so. Unless the [Weiss] program is so sophisticated as to be able to determine your codename without you giving it to him... everyone got the same one. This is also confirmed by what I've picked up from the official board.
