Perplex City Academy - Library Services Document Codes?

Did a search, didn't find anything on this sooooo....

Student Recourses are for current students only, none of the listings are links except for one which is "Library Services".

Only Students and registered library users can do a search of the library catalogue by keyworkd, but ANYONE can look up documents if they know a document code...

333 didn't get me anything. Looking through the cards I have I don't see anything right now that may be a document code. So keep your eyes peeled.

While they've changed how to get to this page, I checked the source and the searches are still disabled. Both are set to bring up message boxes when you click on the submit buttons.

I never actually noticed that before. Maybe I should try reading stuff more often before I give up.

But it still doesn't change the fact that, according to the source code, it doesn't matter what you put in. It'll give you the same message no matter what. At least that's what I understood to be the case, correct me if I'm wrong.

edit- woops, a little late on that one. sorry.

True, at this time, we don't have anything to imput in there near as I can tell. And the previous posts here say that it won't pay to try and guess... However, that doesn't mean there won't be something to imput later. And I think it's important to point this out, because if and when somebody notices a code... They'll think... "Hmmm, maybe I should go try this at the Library Services document look up I read about..."

I hate to be pedantic about this, but it seems to me that the trouble emerges regardless of what the code might be. The sticking point is that no - one will be being recognised as a registered user (just like being unable to sign up for full Sentinel coverage). So, maybe we need some other way of convincing the programme that we're a library user first - maybe we'll need to work out somebody else's registration details...?

hi was mentioned here and most likely first mentioned here: zoinks ginkies which i think should be mostly accredited to BriEnigma who actually checked the script behind it etc Smile

once again Search fails ? Wink

oh just to be annoying- was found on the first day the site went up Laughing

but i don't blame you, there too much to read.
as BriEnigma suggested: the javascript is rigged so it always returns the same error message. guess this is only a little preview of maybe what's to come- eg at some point we may have to search for a phrase in a book- which just so happens to only exist in the ppc, or its a transcript of earth literature. and the book is located in the library catalogue online, to access it we need the key/passcode of a student, which we get from doing something else etc. but for now unless im seriously missing something, i think pretty much everything has been covered, no point to stop looking tho Cool
