HELP I'M NEW!!!!

Ok, hi. I'm kinda new to this. I say kinda because I was hardcore into Push Nevada, touched on Noah Boddy and failed at Thisisnotporn.com. I just found out this place was around and I was woundering if you guys knew any games that are just starting up or are just good for me to cut my gums on. Thanks those who seek a new reality.

PS

Any one out there know me as Ben?

The Art of the Heist is one of the best games ever made, but it's kinda quite far along - although, I'm sure you'll find people that'll be happy to get you up to date.

PerplexCity is another big game, otherwise known as "the game that wouldn't start" Mr. Green However, because of the lack of, uh, starting, it might be easier for you to get into it. If you at least skim over the the stuff linked in this thread, you should be able to get up to speed with it in to time.

Adrian Hon's Interview With SpaceBass wrote:
SpaceBass: If a player decides not to purchase any card packs, do they still have a chance of winning the grand prize?
Adrian: Yes, absolutely. It will probably be more difficult though, since a strong familiarity with Perplex City will be required to figure out exactly who took the cube, why, and where it is now.
SpaceBass: So the cards are an important but not required supplement to the goal of finding the Cube?
Adrian: They will undoubtedly be a very important supplement, yes.
SpaceBass: On the reverse, is it possible to find the cube solely by using the cards?
Adrian: People will probably require more information about Perplex City than is on the cards to work out what we have not - where the cube is hidden.

No you don't.

There is an entire section devoted to other ARG, besides PXC and The Art Of The Heist. Surf your way over to that section for more ARG goodness.

* Poke huggles (or maybe just high-fives) jamesi for sticking up for the smaller games
Umm... As for games just starting up...
Rookery Tower(IU) started almost three weeks ago, but I haven't been playing, so it might be winding down and I wouldn't know it.
Then I guess the next most recent game's probably Seen James(IU), but that one's been going for a while, so I'm not too sure if it'd be the best one to jump right into.
Oh, and then there's The Black Awakening(IU), but that one got off to a really... unfortunate start. But that was only a few days ago, so if it turns out to be really good, it's definitely still possible to jump on right now.
Also, we, uh, may be due for a War of the Worlds ARG sometime soon... Maybe... Hopefully... ... Please? Wink

Yeah, my advice would be to take a sip of everything and then settle in. Timing isn't everything: the play is what is really the thing.
