No, MInd Candy is based in England. IF you knew anything about Nintendo you would realise that their Marketing Department believes that Europe doesn't exist.

Perhaps they changed their mind on that and created Mind Candy.

I just thought people might want to know that I stopped by Toy Tokyo earlier this afternoon and the guy that I talked to there said that there was some sort of unexpected delay with the distribution and he expected to get the cards in at the very end of June or the very first few days of July.

Bloody hell. They are velly disorganised aren't they... you'd think they'd stop promising start dates / release dates etc until they were actually sure sure, rather than allowing themselves to look unprofessional.
Silly thing is, with all this rubbish, I'm still hooked!

Could just be the guy at Toy Tokyo was covering his back, and going for the nearest likely release date - i.e. he'd been told early June like us - that date had passed, so logically, we hope they'll be here by late June, or early July. Can't say for sure as I wasn't there, but we've had a few indications before that MC don't bother telling the suppliers anything much. It reminds me a bit of going into a bookshop and asking them if they know when they're going to get in stock that you've been informed is being published - 99% of the time you might as well have not bothered asking, because they know *less* than you do about the distribution. I'd hope that a specialist shop with a contract with MC would be allowed a bit more direct info, but, again, they're probably being kept in the dark as much as we are.
It's a clear indication that I'm champing at the bit that I'm starting to see conspiracies and cover - ups in the real world now!! I have no doubt the cards *will* materialise in due course - I just hope their appearance *does* coincide with the game being kicked into high gear...We shall see...

We are going to have a bit of a problem when they do come out, however. THere will be so many simultanious puzzles, pictures etc. that we may need to start a new section (like [puzzles], [General] etc.) There will be so much to work on that we won't know where to start, if all of the puzzles are a hard as the Computer cheats one, we'll be working on them for a long time. Still, should be good.

This thread covered quite a lot of ideas regarding organisation, but nothing has yet been implemented (hint, hint!)

We have a week or so (or less) until the cards are released.. have we got anything set up for the posting of the cards yet? For all we know the cards could go up tomorrow and then we would have cards posted everywhere. I think we need to get this forum ready now =)

True.
Is that not what the wiki is for? The collection of cards currently on the wiki are most very well documented. I think that catalogin system could handle a few more cards.

However, the wiki is not for discussion. Given how much discussion we have seen over a couple of demo cards and the like, for the actual release it be huge! Thats why we need the extra forum sections, to keep the chaos in check. Pretty please!
If not, can a mod please post in here that this isn't going to be possible, so we can work out some other way?

fFolx, i wouldnt worry too much about it. when the last bit of the newspaper clippings were revealed, within minutes all the old stuff was dumped into the "project syzygy" fForum. everything, all in minutes! new fForums were established, and old contents were archived. I was here when it happened, and was amazed at the efficiency of the transition.
the mods are wise fFolk. I'm sure they'll do the right thing when it is time. And new fForums are never made willy-nilly, anyway. to make them now, possibly months before they are needed, would be wasteful and poor-sighted.

A small update. I went into PlayLounge on Saturday to ask about the cards; the nice guys who work there told me they are expecting them early July at the moment. So I guess we are in for a little bit more of a wait.
On a side note, its a pretty cool shop and I just had to buy something. I'm a big fan of www.tokyoplastic.com and when I saw the Geisha Dolls for sale I couldn't resist (go to the playlounge site and look for whats new to see it, my girlfriend thinks its ugly though )

I love playlounge too. Wonderful shop, lots of cool stuff, the trains on the back wall are fantastic. Bit small though. Staff are really helpful and nice.
