Yes, they are going, at least a handful. And if they do bring cards, save some for the rest of us to solve! Very Happy Anyways, I'm not going, but that sounds like fun, and a great use of the cards, to get a whole bunch of puzzle-loving people together and have at them.

Mind Candy

Yes the Mind Candy people or at least a few of them will be here at ARGFest. On July 23, the Mind Candy people will be giving the first presentation (9:30am to 10:45 am) in the conference.

It will be held in the 18th floor conference room at the Hotel Pennsylvania.

Adrian has posted that he will be posting more information about their presentation shortly.

I think the latest (at least so says The Sentinel -- and who can trust them?) is July 13th.

I'd like to get my hands on them for sure. I only found out about this Perplex City nonsense yesterday.

Someone make sure they are ready to film, in case a hiest-like event happens!

Firebox update

It's 9:30 and already out of stock at www.firebox.com..... damn! Too slow.

You can "Pre-order now - stock due July 22nd 2005"

No, not too slow, too fast, it's a PRE-ORDER, they haven't started shipping them yet.

can anyone in London (or perhaps some other time zone ahead of mine, NYC) tell me if the cards have indeed gone on sale in stores? Since Firebox won't be shipping until the 22nd, I'm worried that the stores won't get their stock until then either. Right now I'm just trying to figure out if its worth going to Toy Tokyo during my lunch break when they open at 1.

I emailed Toy Tokyo this morning to ask if they were starting to sell the cards today, and whether or not they would be available online (as I'd much rather order from there than Firebox, seeing as how I'm in North Carolina). I have yet to receive a reply. Guess I won't until they open, either! Very Happy Can't hurt to call 'em up and ask before you head out, especially if you're local.

Well, hopefully you can purchase one of the 288 packs from Games of Berkeley or order from Firebox and pay international shipping.

Will they re-open on the 19th, or the 20th?

Dunno when they'll re-open, but the cards are featured for sale now on the front page of Toy Tokyo's website, so I took a chance and ordered a few packs. And shipping looks like a good deal compared with the tolls, gas money and parking fees it would normally cost to get in to NYC Smile
