[CofB][INTERACTIONS THREAD]

Quote:
So I was wrong.

The Bureau did have an event planned.

I'm informing you that I will have a major countermission soon.

-Adam

The event, presumably, the kidnapping of Julia. So maybe it wasn't SDA that kidnapped her. Spec here, but maybe it was The Bureau... since they don't seem to be getting on with Fritz at the moment.

I'm emailing back now.

EDIT: Let's have this as a general interactions thread.

Email just now from 22:

The Next Move is filefront's forums, http://www.gamingforums.com, where you
will find a thread started by me.

This might give you a shine into the inner workings of B's Conspiracy.

I'm browsing at the moment. I thought I saw something - a guest with a name that looked suspiciously rot-ed, but it didn't amount to anything.

Emailed Adam in light of recent findings:

Quote:
So 22 led us on a bit of a trail, and gave us his login to the bterminal3 website. There, we found a clue which led us to the Enchanted Forums, and two private messages from Gaea. They read:

--------

From: Gaea Subject: The Deal Is Off
You can save Julia Blackwolf.

Supply Adam with several false leads.
Keep 22 off my case.
Get Epsilon cancelled.

If you can do that, dear Senator Blackwolf might see her daughter again.

---------

and

---------

From: Gaea Subject: Fickle Words
where would bterminal4 be?

--------

Care to shed any light on either of these? Seems you've been given some false information. Any idea what that is with regards to? Please let me know.

Lewis

I'll post a reply when it arrives.

EDIT: Here

Quote:
22 and Preston aren't the best of friends. Their enmity is way before I came in during Fatemaker. They're both trying their hardest to get on the good books of the Bureau Director, who hates their rivalry.

Preston was formerly the Directorial Aide to the Boss, and has used her influence to stop whatever 22 does at any given time.

And if Paige Preston had kidnapped Julia Blackwolf, that would make her a stupid woman beyond imagination - she will attract a lot of heat to the Bureau, which is something the Bureau does not want.

I also don't know why she's suddenly interested in the Subjects. Her passion to find them is almost comparable to mine.

Well, I just had a rather long conversation with 22 on MSN, and I remembered to copy it. Well, here it is:

Quote:

22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Followed the trail, you have?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I have tried.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I cannot find this bterminal4.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Don't worry about that.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
What should I worry about?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Excuse me for a moment
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
bterminal4 is much more secure than bterminal3, and is likely much harder to find.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
When I was at the office, Adam told me something remarkably coincidental. Did you see the weblog post of Ms Laura Blackwolf?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yes, yes I did.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I cannot help but worry about the safety of Ms. Julia. Why would someone kidnap her?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I don't know, but I'd castrate the people who did it. It's too high-profile... It might break the cover of the Bureau.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
As I was saying, the weblog post by Laura Blackwolf says that her father's phone number involves the digits 166-5993.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Correct. I was not able to find anything on it though.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
It might be symbolic, in a coincidental way. 1665 minus 993 is 672.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
6, 7, 2.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Fascinating...
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
It would disturb me a lot if Blackwolf somehow, maybe through his wife, knew the Bureau's existence.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Does she know of it?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
She, as a relatively well-known Senator, would have access to many US secrets, but the Bureau has severed all links to governments since our early years. It is very doubtful that anybody in the US government knows about us.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why were the ties severd? It would seem to me that government ties would be useful for funding, resources, information, influence, and staffing.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, you are right. The Bureau does not, however, need politics and the problem of outside information when it comes to our operations.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Indeed, before Fatemaker, very very few people have even heard of us.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And why has Fatemaker increased the awareness of the Bureau?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
1) 'SixDoorsAgo' and his very public appeal for help... and 2) Adam Fritz's very shameful act of contacting the public to help him find the Subjects.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why has Adam Fritz continued to seek the Subjects? What has he to gain from it?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Impressive. You ask the proper questions. You have the makings of a Bureau analyst.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
As for your questions, Adam tends to be unpredictable in his motivations.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why, thank you for your compliment.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Strange...
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Why so?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
To have no real reason to do something seems an awfully peculiar thing.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
To me, at least.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, it has occurred to me as well. Adam might have some personal vendetta with the Subjects that I do not know of.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Who is this Lazarus Mihail?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And why was someone interested in his autopsy?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Because his death was... very suspicious.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I will tell you of a secret that only Bureau leadership are allowed to know.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Thank you.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I apologize for my sudden disappearance. My computer has decided recently that it enjoys to randomly hibernate.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Anyway, as you were saying?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Lazarus was an associate of the Bureau, who willingly participated in two of our programs. One was Project Fatemaker, and the other was our first attempt to prolong life indefinitely... immortality.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yes, I suspected the latter, considering his long rumoured life span.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How was he associated with Project Fatemaker?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, we wanted a subject from our Project Immortalitas for Fatemaker. Lazarus was the second successful case, and he was chosen instead of our first preferred choice.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Who was the first choice?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
His name is unimportant. In 1979 we managed to make him immortal, but a remarkable side-effect happened. He still thinks the year is 1979, and every year his brain resets to 1979. That made him relatively useless.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Spectacular! Horrible, but entirely fascinating. Why did you wish to have a subject from Immortalitas for Fatemaker? To 'clone' him and see if the 'clone' was immortal?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
We did that prior to Fatemaker, and it failed disastrously. I don't know if you've got your basic biology knowledge, but using mitosis to clone someone has its problems. This is why mainstream science has not actually been able to do it.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Cloning causes rapid aging in cells, so to say. And once the age is reached (very prematurely), the cells begin to denature.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
So, how were you able to go about Project Fatemaker?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Our brilliant genetic technicians have found out new methods to combat the problem.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I apologize for the sudden disappearance.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And what is that method?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Why, I cannot possibly tell you.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I had a feeling you would say that, but you cannot blame me for trying. Truly, it is fascinating.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Anyway, what was the purpose of having a subject from Immortalitas for Fatemaker?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Fatemaker's Subjects were made up of 30, initially, of the world's best in their fields. An Immortalitas subject would have displayed many of our desired criteria. Sadly, we could not clone Mr. Mihail.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why were you unsuccessful in cloning him, but success in cloning the others?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He was too old. To genetically duplicate him, a subject would have to be younger than 67.2 years old. Lazarus was almost 100 years older than that.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ah.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Pity.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
A question: Do you vote Democrat or Republican?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I cannot vote yet.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
A good answer, actually. Subject 6, as apparently everyone now knows, is the duplicate of Senator Jennifer Blackwolf. You probably don't know this, but the Bureau has an incredible computer that can count the likelyhood of ANYTHING. This computer tells us that Jennifer Blackwolf will win the presidency this year 2 to 1.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Fascinating. Apparently, Ms. Sweet also has a 'thing' for Subject 7, who he may be.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Ah... Subject 7... this is a truly interesting point. Subject 7 is her husband.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Our Director has some sort of perverse interest in the Blackwolf family.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yes, so it may seem.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Your director, is that Ms. Preston, or am I mistaken>
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
*?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
No, she is only very junior. She is the Human Resources Director. She was until last month our Director's secretary.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ah, then she has received a rather large promotion.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Or am I mistaken? I do not know much of the business world.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, "Directorial Aide". The minor rumor is that she's having an affair with Adam Fritz. The probability computer says the odds are 4 to 1.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Oh my. Then, perhaps she is assisting him in his...actions?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I sincerely hope not. Adam wouldn't have kidnapped Julia Blackwolf, and he wouldn't have sabotaged my work at the Bureau.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How did he sabotage your work?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
She, as in Paige. She has been criticising everything about Project Fatemaker since it began.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ah. Why criticize? And what about?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
She has been my rival at the Bureau for such a long time. Her heart is made of spite.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Any reason for her to have become your rival?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Personal ambition, maybe? I am after all the Oversight --in other words, a very important position-- to the Bureau. I oversee the Coverup division, the InSect division, and many of our scientific projects.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
InSect division?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Internal Security.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ah.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Well, I have heard tale that it was Ms. Preston who kidnapped Julia Blackwolf.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Probability: 5 to 3. From what I hear, some of the Bureau staff have already started betting on it.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Interesting thing to bet on.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How can I help Ms. Julia?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
As we speak a Coverup team is prepping up to extract her from the suspected location.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Could you possibly persuade her into believing that it was a disgruntled workers' union that kidnapped her, not a secretive Bureau?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why do that? What workers' union would kidnap her? And why was the ransom sent from her father's office?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, yes... that is a problem. Maybe it was Mr. Blackwolf's personal secretary who sent the note?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
You mean you do not know? You have discovered her location, but not why the ransom note came from her father's office. Interesting.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
It couldn't have been a Bureau employee. It's too much of a stretch to say that Paige Preston herself sent the note.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I still do not understand why she was kidnapped. Is it because she did not capture Jenna Sweet as she was asked?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
What? What do you mean, capture Jenna Sweet as she was asked?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Julia Blackwolf has met Jenna Sweet?!
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yes, they were friends. Her blog said as much.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
She also noticed the startling similarity between Ms. Sweet and her mother.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Or was it Laura who did that? I forget.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Clever girls, they are.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I have not endangered the safety or health of Julia Blackwolf or Jenna Sweet, have I?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
No, you haven't. But you've just given me some material to blackmail Preston.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Pardon me?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I, previously, cannot prove that Preston kidnapped Julia.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Now, it all seems to click, oddly enough.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Interesting.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Oh, I have been meaning to ask you: how do you know SixDoorsAgo. I have heard word that you and he, or she, have spoken recently. Needless to say, I find this...intriguing, to say the least.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
SixDoorsAgo?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
**SixDoorsAgo?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
SixDoorsAgo was a Coverup agent that I knew well.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
"Was"?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
What happened?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He and his partner Lacy managed to *rescue* the Subjects. At the end of it all, Lacy died with her Subjects, and only five are left.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
You disagree with his actions, I presume.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
It's all fate to me.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
So, why do you remain in contact with him?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, Adam might plan to threaten him or something.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I'm not too worried about SDA. The last time the Bureau sent in people to capture him, we sent 2 fully armed Coverup teams... and none of them came back.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And you don't see him as a threat?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He isn't an unstable man like Adam.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
But aren't you supposed to recover the Subjects from him?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, recovering the surviving Subjects is not part of mission parameters.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
You've been listening to Adam's propaganda, I suppose?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Listening to whoever and whatever I can, actually. Unfortunately, it is hard to find the truth when there is only one possibility being presented.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
What are the mission parameters then?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
We don't have to recover the Subjects, as our sole objective is to watch fate. Can the duplicates, under different circumstances, become the exact same people the originals were? That was our hypothesis then.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
So you simply wish to keep your eyes on the subjects, and nothing else?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I would love to. But at the same time, they know a bit too much. Sooner or later, they'll have to go. I'd much rather they develop their own lives.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
"they'll have to go"? A bit of a euphimism, I think.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Anyway, then why does Adam Fritz seem to want to capture the Subjects? Or am I mistaken?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Adam has... a problem with them.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And what do you mean by "a problem with them"?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I cannot speak of the problem.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Classified Information?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Very, very.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Hm. Just out of curiousity, who *is* your supervisor?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I am the supervisor. I take orders only from the Director.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
...but he hardly does that anyway.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Well, what I meant then, was "Who *is* the Director?". Additionally, why is he, or she, so uninvolved?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
The Director is the boss. He's at the top of the food chain. He knows everything that goes around. I suspect he might be slightly amused by Paige Preston's rivalry with me.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I was hoping for a name, but all right...
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
jul1ana_matosSPLAThotmail.com
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
It appears that Julia Blackwolf has secretly been able to use a computer while she was kidnapped.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How did you discover this?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
While we were talking, I have just gotten a call from the Coverup team leader. Julia has been detected.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
There's some heavy security - none of them Bureau.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Detected? How?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
If not the Bureau, then who?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Coverup's very sophisticated equipment works very well.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
And... it seems to be some sort of freelance guerilla team. Worrying, that Preston would hire guerillas.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why worrying?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Paige is attracting too much heat.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand what you mean by that.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
She is attracting too much attention. Julia Blackwolf's kidnapping... the hiring of freelance soldiers...
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Would you like the Coverup to extract Julia right now, or would you like them to wait for a bit? I'll allow you to make the decision.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Me? But why?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, this is a test, so to say. I dare say that if you mess up, Mr and Mrs Blackwolf might be lacking one daughter permanently.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I just wish that the course of action that will most secure the health and safety of Ms. Julia be taken.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, the Coverup team is armed enough to take down a battle group.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ideally, she could be rescued very carefully and secretly when her captors have let their guards down, so that a large scene is not made and she could be rescued without her captors' knowledge to best ensure her safety.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, here's another thing to think about. Once we rescue Julia, what do we do? Do we simply drive up to the Blackwolf house and ring the bell, then push her out of the car? How would you do it if you were Bureau?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Well, it would probably be best to interview her to find out more about her captors.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And what she knows.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
But what would you say, once you've rescued her? "Hi, Julia. I'm a member of a secret organization even your mother doesn't know about, and I'm here to rescue you. Oh, and can you tell me about those people who took you?" The sudden anonymous rescue would attract a lot of media attention, wouldn't it?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
If you acknowledged that you were a secret organization. Could you not be a government organization? After all, once she has been rescued, why would the government deny that it had any involvement in her rescue? At the very least, you could lie to her.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, very good.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
That was what we are planning to do.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
*is planning to do.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Did I pass my test?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
You did, with flying colors.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
But I don't know which colors, and/or why they are flying.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Heh, thank you very much.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
More importantly though, why were you testing me?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I need a Bureau sanctioned agent.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Pardon?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I need an agent in this Fatemaker mess, someone the Bureau can support. You have proven to be a good choice.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why, thank you very much, sir.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, as Probability expected, this is the end of our conversation.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
You will receive further updates.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
And, of course, what will your codename for us to refer to?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Pardon?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
A codename we can call you by.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Arsenic, but if that is too obvious, for I am often known by that name, then Shadow, I suppose.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Agent Arsenic, then. Goodbye. "Shadow" is already taken.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I am not surprised. Goodbye, then.

The following message could not be delivered to all recipients:
I am not surprised. Goodbye, then.

"22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
That was what we are planning to do.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
*is planning to do. "

Am I reading too much into that?

Anyway, another bit for people: the reply from Adam. Not that helpful. I've added it to my previous post.

I got an email from 22 describing what happened regarding Julia Blackwolf. Here it is:

OPERATIVE ARSENIC:
:Filed under EPSILON PROGRAM:

Operative, Julia Blackwolf was successfully extracted. After some thought,
the Coverup team leader chose to swipe her entire memory of the event after
the proper interviewing. She has admitted that her kidnapper(s) included
someone matching the physical profile of Paige Preston. Internal Security
has already limitted her access to Bureau terminals, including external
protocols. She has not entered her Bureau office yet. Upon arrival she will
be detained by IntSect agents.

Julia Blackwolf does not remember anything about her kidnapping, but she
vaguely recalls that a disgruntled workers' union official, as well as a
lunatic postal worker, had taken her away. She was not treated badly, and
the union official, a lowly Blackwolf Corporate Umbrella employee named
Eduardo Chavez, has already been brought into questioning by local police.
He has 'admitted' to all charges.

22.

Interesting, I think.
Does anyone have any ideas for what information we should try to get from 22? Personally, I'm interested in finding out more about Paige Preston and her possible relationship/involvement with Adam Fritz. I'm also not sure if I'm playing 22, if he's playing me, or if we're both playing eachother. Who can we trust here?

Ok, 22 said this in his convo with Arsenic:

Anyway, then why does Adam Fritz seem to want to capture the Subjects? Or am I mistaken?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Adam has... a problem with them.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And what do you mean by "a problem with them"?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I cannot speak of the problem.

I remembered seeing a connection between Adam and the runaway Subjects so I went searching for it. I found it here:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=171945 A post by Lewis the Second

Yep, there is. Reads:

1. Delia Langley and Gladys Corcoran is the same person. Which is the real identity? I have no proof yet.

And I remembered reading this about Adam on the Sigma page:

http://bterminal3.t35.com/account1011.html

SIGMA: AGENT PROFILE

PROFILE: FRITZ, ADAM
Case Status: Pending
Present Location: Classified

Soooo, is Adam related to Gladys/Delia? Does this have anything to do with why he wants the subjects? This thing is still really confusing to me.

Well, in the Bureau she's the newly promoted Director of Human Resources.
Lewis said:
Is she who kidnapped Julia?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] said:
Seeing that Adam vehemently claims not to, I would suspect so.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] said:
You do mean Julia Blackwolf, right?
Lewis said:
yes
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] said:
Well, as I mentioned, Ms Preston is my biggest bet. She plays the politics of the office very very well.
Lewis said:
aha
Lewis said:
I'm sorry, i have to go

talk later

Lewis says:
Hello
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Hello.
Lewis says:
So we found out that Delia Langley and Gladys Corcoran is the same person.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Ah, yes, the late Director Corcoran.
Lewis says:
Adam's mother is called Corcoran...
Lewis says:
When did she die?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
She died at age 91 on New Year's Day, 1998.
Lewis says:
I see.
Lewis says:
Was Adam a relation?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Adam... was her grandson.
Lewis says:
I see.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Very few people ever know this, of course.
Lewis says:
Adam says he wants the subjects simply so that he can do his job.
Lewis says:
Do you believe him?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
No, as he does not have that job anymore.
Lewis says:
Then what is his motive?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I have my suspicions, but for confidentiality's sake I will not discuss it.
Lewis says:
I'm still not quite sure who's side I'm supposed to be on. Do I want the subjects to live or die?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, do you?
Lewis says:
Any loss of human life is tragic.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
For now, here's a question: Did you buy Harry Potter on its release date?
Lewis says:
But I'm still curious as to SDA's reason for wanting them alive specifically
Lewis says:
No, I did not.
Lewis says:
I'm not a fan
Lewis says:
what relevance does that have?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I see. Laura Blackwolf is, but seeing that her sister was kidnapped, she could not buy it. So, I bought it for her, and I plan to deliver it soon.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
As for your questions: SDA is a very nice man, so to say. He may be tight-lipped and all, but he is a good person. A hard trait in our moral-less work.
Lewis says:
How did he come to know about all of this.
Lewis says:
And what is the conspiracy of which he incessantly talks?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He was a Coverup agent, tasked to Fatemaker. And as for "CONSPIRACY!" he knows something more than all of us do.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Or maybe it's just hyperbole.
Lewis says:
hmm
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Knowing him, though, I'd go for the first.
Lewis says:
hmm
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Isn't it quite suspicious that he knows some names, like Benedict Vargas, yet he claims to have never known Adam Fritz?
Lewis says:
Who *is* Benedict Vargas?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
We will be talking later. I have a meeting I cannot possibly postpone.
Lewis says:
Fair enough.
Lewis says:
Thanks for your time.

They've not quite decided who Vargas is yet, then... Wink

Operative Arsenic

Within the past fifteen minutes, SDA had posted a new weblog entry at
http://sixdoorsago.blogspot.com. There, he detailed a file that Coverup
Division flagged to me as Page One of the Fatemaker briefing.

That file must be decrypted (if any). Analyze the file, and send your
interpretation in a reply email. The subject of your email must be
DIFF:OVERRUN, or else it will be considered spam and will not be
entertained. Coverup officers are away on a classified mission, forcing me
to make use of your skills.

EDIT: I finally got around to responding today. Here's the message I sent:

Quote:
Sir, I have not been able to decode the entire message, as my eyesight is less than ideal. However, I have decided to go ahead and send you what others, mainly RebWins, and I, though I did figure out nearly much as RebWins, have been able to come up with:

PROJECT FATEMAKER
Ultra High Classification

SUBJECTS
The project briefing has detailed 30 selected Subjects, all very well known and chosen for a particular reason. Due to the confidential matter of the originals' identities, this file is made available only to the selected higher echelons of the Sigma Protocol branch of the bureau. The Bureau Director has limited all access to any files regarding the Fatemaker Subjects. For obvious reasons, this file has been encrypted by 2048 bit encryption and superior security methods. All Fatemaker files located at the Bureau will self destruct in the event of a Brute Force attack and/or unauthorized access from outside terminals.
For the recruitment phase, Bureau Leadership has selected thirty possible candidates into the Subject pool. The advanced Probability computer was used to ensure that the success of the duplication of the subjects were satisfactory. After Phase One, the pool was reduced to twelve, and the remaining eighteen were released, allowed to have their own lives, monitored by the watchful eye of the Bureau. Among the criteria for
The identities of the twelve subjects are as follows:

1. XXXXXXXXX XXXX, fx Bureau xx
2. GARY VENABLES, cult leader and reputed psychic
3. XXXXXXDXXXXRX, Islamic high cleric
4. NADIA DOXXXVO, world chess champion
5. SOPHIA XXXXXX, XBC journalist
6. JENNIFER BLACKWOLF, future President of the United States
7. XXXXXX BLACKWOLF, CEO of Blackwolf Corporate Umbrella
8. XXXXXXXXX XXDGE, dixxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxx xxxxxxx
9. ANXXXXXXAM XXXXX, Cubxxxxxx xxxxxxx
10. ERIN XXXXXXXX, Xxxxxxe Xxxxxx
11. CXXXXXXXX XXXX, inxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
12. JAMAL WASHINGTON, xxxxxxxxx

NAMES REMOVED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES

---
Obviously, number 7 is Mr. Blackwolf, Jennifer Blackwolf's husband, but I do not know his first name. Anyway, I apologize for the delay and the incomplete status of the decoding.

Sir, if Lazarus Mihail is dead and the Bureau attempts to clone him have been unsuccessful, then how is it that he was spotted in London not too long ago?

EDIT 2: I just had another conversation with 22 with really only one point of interest....

Greetings, Operative.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Greetings and salutations, sir.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I assume you received my last email?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
You mean the one about SDA's latest blog post?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes. That file is, indeed, the Bureau's Fatemaker briefing.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yes, I did receive it, and I sent my response earlier today, with my apologies for the delays.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
No problems.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
But if that is the Bureau's Fatemaker briefing, why did you need it decoded?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I don't have it.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
That's rather surprising. Too highly classified, I suppose?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, and even though I have very, very high classification, the file "self-destructs in one minute."
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Lazarus Mihail was sighted in London?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
So I heard from someone in contact with Adam Fritz. I find it rather surprising.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, indeed. He is clearly a dead and uncloneable man.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Then how would he have been seen? It does not seem significant enough to lie about.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Maybe it was a lookalike? Or... the darker possibility, is that someone outside has advanced the Bureau's duplication devices.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Who could do that?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And how would they have been able to, considering that he's dead.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
*?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes... yes. Even the Bureau has been struggling when it comes to resurrection.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Then again his name is Lazarus...
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Wait - I remember, six years ago, when the Bureau succeeded in bringing a dead person back to life, for 24 hours.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Who?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And why only 24 hours?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Gladys Corcoran, the former Director of the Bureau, and Adam's late grandmother. As for 24 hours - Gladys was dead for about six months by then. Her body rapidly fell apart within the timeline.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Why had she been dead for six months? If she was intended to be revived, then why the six month delay?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Research time.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I need to go - the sudden revelation of the failed resurrection - I'm heading to the archives. I will email you with further findings.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Good night, then.

The following message could not be delivered to all recipients:
Good night, then.

I would just add this to an earlier post of mine here, but this isn't just another chat with 22. I had a few interesting chats with Julia Blackwolf and 22 last night that I would have posted earlier, but, uh, I wound up playing videogames until past 6 in the morning. Anyway, my window randomly closed during my conversation with Julia though, so I don't have the whole thing. She said she didn't remember much about her kidnapping, but that she suspected something strange was going on. When I asked how she got my contact information (as I had never contacted her before), she said a man in a gray suit gave it to her. I suspected it was 22, and I was right. Since I had these conversations at the same time, some comments in both conversations resulted from parts of the other conversations. Therefore, I'm going to split them into chunks.

First, Julia:

I hate math, you know?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I can understand. I actually like math though, but that may just be because I'm decent at it and I had a really great teacher last year. But I know what you mean.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
I'm really, really struggling at quadratic equations and functions and all. Maybe it's way past my standards.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I could help you, if you'd like.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Whoops sorry, connection died. Did you say anything?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I said that I could help you, if you'd like.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, maybe in sometime. Hey, you said you "investigate"? What kind of things do you investigate?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Anything I can. I'm a sucker for mysteries. I'd like to see the world as a big mystery, but doing so might be a little too depressing because that would be one mystery I could never even dream of solving.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Or maybe I just read too much Sherlock Holmes as a kid.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, you and Laura are soo similar.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
But she's a bit of a skeptic.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Heh, I sit on the fence between 'skeptic' and 'conspiracy entusiast'. I think part of it comes from being raised paranoid.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, ok.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
What do you work as? Or, if you're not exactly old enough to work, what do you aspire to be?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
A writer, ideally, but I'd also like to get a doctorate in Classics.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Accursed wireless.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Hehe. Happens to everyone.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yeah, but that doesn't make it any less annoying, unfortunately.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, yeah. You know, being the daughter of someone like Senator Jennifer Blackwolf, people really have high hopes on you and all.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Oo, I bet. Must be difficult and somewhat depressing.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Somewhat, yeah. Dad's also a big person too, I mean, he was a doctor and now the BCU owner/CEO guy, but worst of all is Mom - she's done waaaay too much. Astronaut, politician, possible President? Even I can't beat that.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
No one can beat that. I think it's better and more rewarding to be your own person though. I have a feeling that it would always be difficult to not compare yourself to your parents though, like an internal nagging.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Hmm, yeah.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
You reallly sound like Laura.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I find that humourous.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
hmm?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
They say that no two people are the same, but I suspect that many are disturbingly close in personality, though maybe not in desired path.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Yeah, I think so too.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Monique Claret came in yesterday to take some photos for her upcoming postcards.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Continuing the Blackwolf theme?
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Apparently so. Laura doesn't have one of hers yet. Monique might soon be taking some of Senator Marsh, you know, the opponent to Mom in the presidential race.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I have not heard of Senator Marsh, actually. I don't go outside very often. At least, not if I can help it.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
I don't hear about Marsh either, except that his wife's a patron (matron?) of a lot of charities, and she's really really ill, cancer I think.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Oh dear, I do hope she recovers. It really should be matron, actually, considering that she's female and 'matron' is derived, I think, from the Latin word 'mater' meaning "mother", while 'patron' is derived from the Latin word 'pater' meaning 'father'. I'm a Latin geek.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
My latin sucks...
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Like any subject, it requires a passion, I think.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Yeah, I know.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
"The Magic Number: 672"
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Out of curiousity, where did you hear that?
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Monique's card, and a hell of a lot of places. Coincidence? 672 pops up in Laura's phone number. 6 was the tattoo on Jenna's shoulder (and she was interested in a guy she called 7). 6/7/2002 was the day my cousin Ruby was born.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Strange indeed...
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Uh huh. 672 also a little number that's above the yellow light thing on the monitor of this computer.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Computer #672?
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
No, scratched on above the light thing. Hey, the light's blinking green!
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Signal? Power?
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
The power light thing, on the monitor. The one that's usually yellow, is now blinking green.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
That's strange. I think in computer-world, green is generally better than yellow though. Or you're out of power? I'm not sure.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Weird. Blinking stopped. The monitor looks fine, nothing seems to be out of order.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Freaky.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Maybe someone's spying on me! Hehe. Wait, that's not a good thing.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Generally, no, it's not.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Yeah. It's not. Let me go upstairs for a bit to get Laura.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ok.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
OK. She says it's nothing, should be nothing, and can't be anything. Nobody short of spy agencies could possibly have a spycam in the power light.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
I need to start reading William Golding's Lord of the Flies for literature, but I can't seem to be able to understand it all.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
It's a great novel. A key point is that it's all one big metaphor for Freud's views on the mind. There's the Ego, the Id, and the Superego. The Id consists of the desires, the Superego the conscience, and the Ego is who you are in the present, yourself. Both the Id and the Superego are mainly subconscience entities. That's how I understand it, at least.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Aaaaaah.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
'Fraid you've lost me somewhere in between Id and Superego.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Sorry 'bout that.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
No prob.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
I'm probably better off reading the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Comedy sci fi. A simpler piece for a simpler mind.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Nah, Hitchiker's Guide is complex is a different way, I think.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, yeah. But a very, very funny piece.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Very true.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Well, luckily the movie was out, I wasn't able to find the books before that.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Pity, that is, but at least you did find them.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Yeps.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, look, the monitor's blinking green again.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Odd...
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Yeah, it is.

There's a small gap in my conversation with 22 that is from when he tried to send me a file, so don't mind that gap. Here it is:
Quote:
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Operative.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Sir.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
As I said yesterday, I was heading for the Bureau news archives.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And how did that go?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
See for yourself.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] sends:

22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I managed to sneak that file out of the archives.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Impressive.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Not too much of a hard task, when you can easily PrintScreen.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
What?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
(Pardon me if this pertains to the file. I am experiencing a very slow transfer rate, which I am now investigating.)
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
You don't have to download it.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I will place it on Paige's Bterminal3 account.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Oh, ok. Thank you very much, sir.

You have failed to receive file "news.JPG" from 22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON].

22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Of course. It has some information that does not regard Fatemaker.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
What does it regard, then?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Some of it directly involves Fatemaker, some of it indirectly so.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Out of curiousity, did you happen to give my contact information to Miss Julia Blackwolf?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Oh, yes.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I was thinking that you could learn something from her, what I could not.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
For example...?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Well, the inner workings of the family.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
The Director has an apparent obsession about them. He wanted to monitor the family. Meanwhile, I was interested if she could still remember anything about her disappearance. Memory modification isn't yet perfect at the Bureau (unless you have strong hands and a baseball bat).
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
She cannot remember anything, but she suspects something is amiss. She also suspects that she is being spied on. A light on her computer is strangely flashing green.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Green... Right now?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yes, right now.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
That's definitely Bureau technology... who could be doing it?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
You don't know this, but that monitoring device is also a very potent explosive and computer keylogger.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Oh dear, that's not good. Not good at all.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Tell her to get off, immediately.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Should I tell her why?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Don't. Make up an excuse.

Back to Julia:

Quote:
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Aha! It seems that flashing light is a common sign of potent spyware. I suggest you get off immediately.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Spyware..? But, how's that possible??
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I'm really not sure, but it would be best for you to begin using another computer. Yours is no longer safe.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Oh, umm, ok... Yeah, I did have an appointment with the dentist... Should I have Laura try to look into the problem, and fix it?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
No. No, I suspect that this may actually be a series of viruses and spyware programs. You would be better off getting rid of that computer. There is nothing you can do to fix it.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Getting rid of it! Whoa, that must be really bad... Dad's not going to like to hear this.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Trust me, it is for the better, and it is most certainly worth it.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Well, alright... Yeah. I'll get someone to dump it. Hope you're right...
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
Alright, bye.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Goodbye, and good luck. Be careful.
Julia Thorne [[JTB]] [http://laurajulia.blogdrive.com] says:
I suppose we'll have a chat later on my new computer.

I wasn't really sure if I should have told her or not, but I just lied to her and presumed I or someone else could tell her the truth later, should it better that she knew the truth. Anyway, that was the end of my conversation with Julia. Now, to finish up my conversation with 22:

Quote:
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
All right, I got her off. I told her it was a mixture of spyware and viruses. Too revealing?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
She's a sharp girl though, and I'm not exactly a good liar.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Not bad, but if we're lucky she's not too smart on computers.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
I told her not to try to get her sister to fix it when she asked about it.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Oh, the sister Laura. She's the younger twin, yes? I've met with her grandmother, Irina, whom she is named after. Fascinating woman.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How so?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
A very good scientist. I tried to recruit her to the Bureau, but she didn't pass the basic tests for the Sixth Door lab.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
The Sixth Door lab?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, where Fatemaker was started. And also where it ended.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Who is Six Doors Ago?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
As I might have told you once before, he was a former Coverup agent. A really, really good one.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I do not know his real name. Real names are hardly used in the Bureau, except for Paige Preston and Adam Fritz.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
But Fritz is not Adam's real name though, is it? Isn't his real last name Corcoran?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, it is. He changed it because he didn't want to be affiliated with the dark Corcoran past.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Yet he worked at the organization his grandmother was heavily involved with.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He, though he denies it, adores and looks up to his grandmother.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Not surprising.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He was raised by her, after all.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Really? What happened to his parents?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
His mother died in a car accident. His father abandoned him, also embarassed to be affiliated to the Corcorans.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Oh, and the father died early this year of suspicious circumstances.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How sad and strange.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Dear Senator Blackwolf and her husband attended the funeral, as did I.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
How did they know him?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
I do not know, but perhaps through Gladys.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Interesting.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Sir, who is Benedict Vargas?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Benedict... a name I have not heard in a very long time.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
For what reason?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
He was Bureau, for one year, before converting to Gary Venables's Bright Awakening religion.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Bright Awakening?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
The cult founded by Gary Venables.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Can you tell me anything more than that?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Check Enchanted Forums for the file I was going to give.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Ah, thank you, sir.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Only that page is not found.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
The link in the Enchanted Forum topic, that is.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Which page?
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:

http://www.freewebs.com/news.JPG
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:

22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
My mistake.
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Interesting...
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
Project Antediluvian?
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
It is fairly recent.
22, Twenty. Two. [Currently: EPSILON] says:
Yes, we found some evidence dating from the Sumerian times. The Project Leader says it is a partial of Adam and Eve's (or at least, the earliest humans) DNA
ClinicallyInsaneArsenic says:
And the intent is to produce copies of the presumed Adam and Eve?

For a long time he didn't answer my question, and then he logged off. I wonder why. Anyway, it's nice to know something about Benedict Vargas, but why is he becoming involved now? There are so many questions that need answering.

EDIT: I went ahead and added what little I learned about Benedict Vargas to the wiki.

I just got another e-mail 22:

Quote:

To: queenarsenicSPLATgmail.com
Cc: Bureau.PaigePSPLATgmail.com
Operative:

Coverup agent 1 has made these findings regarding the so-called Magic
Number, 672.

1. Monique Claret Productions, well known in the fact that she occasionally
collaborates with Bureau officials, uses 672 on her calling card.

2. De Bestellingsverzameling was founded on the sixth of July, 1982 in
Amsterdam. On another note, they apparently worship this number for some
reason.

3. Project Fatemaker officially ended on the seventh of June, 2005 with the
'rescue' made by SDA and his partner Lacy Adenauer, both Coverup agents. I
do not know if this was planned, or if it was accidental. The implications
seem direly messianic.

4. 'Ace' journalist Donny Detraux was born on the same day DB was founded.

5. Adam Fritz sabotaged SDA's blog (he has admitted to it) one day before
26/7/2005. That day is the last appearance of a perfect sequenced 672 in
this year. He also admitted to choosing that date for personal reasons. My
suspicions: he might be somehow serving De Bestellingsverzameling.

6. Gary Venables, founder of Bright Awakening, changed the name of the cult
from Bright Resolution to Bright Awakening on 6/7/2000. Bright Awakening
directly avows to somehow worship 672 as well.

7. Lazarus Mihail, the dead man, was yet once again seen in Paris on
26/7/2005. He was not only seen - he was sighted meeting none other than
Lord Francis Northridge, member of DB as well as avowed enemy of the Bureau.

8. Fatemaker survivors 6, 7 and 2 are with SDA.

9. At least ten cars belonging to Bureau employees have 672 in their car
plate numbers in some way or sequence.

10. Interestingly, my Bureau agent card records me as 516111 = 5+1, 6+1, 1+1
= 672.

11. Also, Bright Resolution's logo was a BR shaped suspiciously like a 672.
I have a copy on my camera phone, but somehow my phone cannot transmit it to
my computer.

Much of these are speculation, but some of it might be wholly new
information.

Ooh!

Quote:
My sincere apologies if you did not plan on receiving this email, or wish
not to be involved in this dire mess. I did not know which email addresses
to send this to - this email address gathering duty was given to a computer,
which sputtered out your addresses. Should this be all a mistake to you, I
apologize from the very depths of my heart and hope that you delete this
email.

My name is Lazarus Mihail, and prior to what the world might think, I am not
dead. However, I would like very much this news not to be spread publicly.
This is would be very harmful.

I am made aware that a number of you might know of an Adam Fritz, who fired
four bullets in my head with a Colt Anaconda. He is clearly, as you may
already have speculated, a man not to be trusted. His work is mysterious and
shadowy, dealing with deceits always.

Some of you might know of an organization known as the Bureau of
Technicalities. This Project Fatemaker of theirs has spawned a teenage
duplicate of me that failed. There remains five Subjects at large, and the
endless debate goes on whether the Bureau should kill them or not.

I am physically blind and it is very difficult for me to type this out, if
not for the intelligence-enhancing properties of the item Snake that I am
currently using.

I thank you for your time.
Lazarus Mihail (1847-)

Heading to the Yahoo! Group going by the name "All About Conspiracies"
will help you understand this one.

PS. Bureau is all scared about this one, my sources say. I don't know why.

I looked at the Yahoo! Group and saw nothing new. The most recent post was from July 22, 2005, which gives us the supposed symbol of the Bureau.
