[UPDATE] June 5th

I'm not quite up to speed with the Chicago Op (looking forward to the write up Smile ), but it would appear that our voyeuristic friend Worry was also at the marina.

There's also a bunch of photos from Lou's experience in Ian's inbox.

Wiretap Transcripts

This is the first quarter or so of the Chicago Wiretap (stopping right before Gunter sings). I'm really sick of Gunter now, so maybe someone else will pick up where I left off?

Gunter: Nisha…Who are these?

Nisha: What?

Gunter: Who are these people?

Nisha: What? Nice of you to [???]

Gunter: I said, "Alone." Alone! Nah…Nah…No…No…

Nisha: Gunter, come here. Come here! They are with me. Come here!

Gunter: What?

Nisha: Get over here. Get over here. They're with me. You didn't say, "Come alone."

Gunter: Why would I want you bring people?

Nisha: Look, they are with me. They're my team. They're my associates, and they're coming with me.

Gunter: Who are they? Who are they?

Nisha: End of story. Don't worry about who they are. It's not your business who they are.

Gunter: It's not my business? You come on my boat? Who are you?

Nisha: They're with me, and that's all you need to know.

Gunter: There's five of you.

Nisha: Gunter, what are you so scared of?

Gunter: Nothing. I've got a man on the boat but…

Nisha: What are scared of?

Gunter: Oh, I've got nothing to be scared for?

Nisha: You're the one with blood on your hands. Why should you be scared of me and my friends?

Gunter: Oh? Oh yeah?

Nisha: Yeah.

Gunter: I'm the only one with blood on my hands? Oh?

Nisha: Gunter, we need to talk.

Gunter: Oh yeah…yeah. I've boat ride for you. Come. Come. Come.

Nisha: All of us?

Gunter: You wanted to meet! We're meeting?

Nisha: Are they allowed to come with me?

Gunter: Of course! Because the video [?]

Nisha: Let's go.

Gunter: Ladies. Gentleman. Please.

Nisha: After you.

Gunter: There's a step.

Nisha: Where are we going?

Gunter: Down river. Don't they want to talk to me? Don't they want to know about Gunter? Heh? Wha? Famous.

Nisha: Tell us about-- Tell us about you, Gunter.

Gunter: [mumbles] In good time. In good time.

Nisha: Where are we going?

Gunter: In good time. I have some stories for you. One moment. This, uh, it's close to the beginning of Spring, and, I was told, by a very ancient captain that the first way that you can spot Spring in this river here is when you see the first floater. Ah? You know what the floaters are? Yeah? It's the bums or the tramps that die or get killed-- [Nisha begins to interrupt here, with "That's Fascinating, but stops] body parts, they get dumped in the river, and most of the year, they go down to the bottom, and they stay there. It's full of shit down there. But in Spring, little warmth, their bodies float to the service.

Nisha: What are you— You know, that's just fascinating. Gunter, that's just fascinating. That's not why I'm here. I'm here to [???]

Gunter: No no no. I saw one here the other day. It's Springtime!

Nisha: Stop ignoring me, Gunter.

Gunter: What?

Nisha: You know you heard me. Stop ignoring me.

Gunter: You don't want to be ignored? No. You want ignore me. You want ignore me.

Nisha: I'll throw you… [?]

Gunter: I'm the one you want to speak to. So speak!

Nisha: Yes, I'd like to speak to you about something mysterious and real and not this insanity, Gunter.

Gunter: The…Just over the other side of this, there's the railway twins. They were, they were like twin brothers. They used to be in the circus, and they…there was never a rat problem near their house. They existed on rats.

Nisha: Gunter, what do you know about the lease?

Gunter: We all exist on rats, yeah? Don't we?

Nisha: Gunter, let's talk about…

Gunter: Heh? Vermin? [???] the lease?

Nisha: The lease.

Gunter: For Elise [or Fur Elise] . That's why I played the song. For Elise. Anything for Elise.

Nisha: Gunter? It's so nice of you. Listen. Listen. You know, I'm sorry. Listen. Listen. No. No. Gunter, listen. I'm sorry. Thank you for this.

Gunter: No. No. No. No. No. I wrote it all down. I wrote it all down. I didn't want you to miss one thing. No. No. No.

Nisha: It's really actually quite nice.

Gunter: Shut up! I have things to say.

Nisha: Don't you ever tell me to shut up again! Do you hear me? And you know I mean it. I was just saying that it was very nice of you to take us here.

Gunter: You've already said way too much, yeah?

Nisha: Well, you didn't say quite enough, did you? Where are we going?

Gunter: Up the river. In 1893, Old Lady Washburn, she took her husband, just under this bridge, and axed him…axed him to death.

Nisha: That's Fascinating.

Gunter: And then dumped the bodies in five pieces, yeah? Do you understand more?

Nisha (to retrievers): Come here. Come here. Come here.

Gunter: Oh shit.

Nisha: Listen. I-- Do you— I mean-- I'm trying a tactic. I think I'm going to use reverse psychology. I can't help but just despise him. I can't help it. But I think that because he's just so-- I've never seen him behave this madly. [unintelligible conversation with the retrievers] I'm going to try to kill him with kindness at this point. I can't but really not like him. Where are we going? This is really… Gunter

Gunter: Just over here… There was a trapper, a Canadian trapper called Jack, and he had the skins that dried out on the river. I'm not touching you!

Nisha: I know but…I know… I'm sorry.

Gunter: It turns out that they were all skulls. They were scalps.

Nisha: That's fascinating. Listen. I appreciate you telling all this.

Gunter: Good. Good. Because you're going to have the ride of your life tonight as entertainment.

Perhaps the fellow in the hat y'all were talking about was worry?

There's a new email from him inbetween Lou's letters to Ian (see link above). Yeah yeah I know, back to study materials...

This time I'm serious.

I never thought of that Shocked That guy looked very suspicious (Nisha agreed) and he did head down by the water before us.

D'oh! ... at least the spec about the guy in the hat is now.

I'll be much better once I've finished with the GMAT... Which I leave to take in an hour and a half...

I really think that guy was Worry, now that I am thinking back over that night. He totally saw us, and stared us down, and well, he looked worried. Heh.

Yeah, that had to have been him. He really didn't look like he belonged there at all, and he was miiiiiiiighty suspicious.

He kept quite a wide circle around her (and us) as he strode by, and he was a quick one. He also didn't look like he had time to think up good pickup lines ... Wink

You're talking about the guy with the old timey hat? Not the guy that was sitting next to us munching french fries?

The fry-guy was looking at me strangely each time i passed him. I'm more suspicious of him than hat-guy. I still think the fry guy was there just to watch until we were settled in, and then go signal gunter's boat crew that we were ready.
