I'm going to be on the radio!

This is very exciting! I haven't said anything about it before I heard for certain, but I'm going to do a radio interview for a station in Britain! It's called TalkSport and it'll be broadcast... er, sorry about this, between 3.30am and 5am on Monday morning - you can listen to it online at www.talksport.net, and I'll see if I can link to it afterwards. I'm going to be on the radio! [does a little dance]
Bloody hell - more media!

How odd.
I wonder why Scarlett is the one being interviewed - why not Sente or Camryn or someone like that?
Secondly, why are talksport interviewing her? Are they interested in getting the broadcast rights to the next PCAG or something?!
Well looks like it'll be a late night on Sunday then...(hurray for no work the next day)

Tis' a killer really - uk radio, but everyone else will be around at a more reasonable time to listen - ahh well!
It is also a very strange place to advertise PPC - what kind of demographic are they appealing to here??? Shift workers, milkmen and insomniacs! Maybe they are aiming at the everyone not in the UK - don't know how global talksport is...
EDIT: At-ro-shus spelin!

Darn it!!! Darn it all to heck - I was so excited that I was going to post something first for once! Oh well - what do you guys think Scarlett is going to talk about on the show? It's an hour and a half, so I'm sure she'll divulge some new information at some point - but a sports show? It's all up in the air at this point. Any thoughts?
P.S. 3:30 AM London Time is 10:30 Sunday Night for us east coasters - subtract an hour from that for each time zone past that.

Scarlett is a shade of red isn't it? So perhaps the interview is gonna go something like this:
Jock: So, Scarlett, tell me, are you a big Liverpool fan?
Scarlett: *giggle* Well, we prefer more cerebral sports in Perplexcity but I'm certainly a fan of the colour scheme.
J: And what are your thoughts on UEFA's determination to exclude the team from next year's Champion's League despite winning this year?
Etc, etc.
Or maybe I'm just jaded from all the media coverage.....
Apologies to anyone from somewhere other than the U.K. who has no idea what I'm talking about.

I have a bit more info on this.....
That particular station isn't just a sports station; at night and at certain times in the day they do general chat shows. The one Scarlett's going to be on, the Mike Mendoza show, often features gadget reviews and computer game segments, so it sort of fits.
By the way, she won't be on air for an hour and a half- it's a ten minute piece that will be on at some time between 0330 and 0500.
Also, it looks like Scarlett's appearance may not be a one-off: there's a chance she could be on every month/6 weeks for PPC updates.
Why Scarlett? Well anyone can interview the earth-based representatives, and Sente is a bit too austere to attract a games audience. Scarlett is young, female and she has a direct link to her which will hook listeners- her blog.
How do I know all this? Lets just say I have "contacts"!
By the way- is this the first broadcast interview with a fictional ARG character?

Talksport seems to be available online so someone should be able to get a streamed recording of the show?

Rule one of publicity seeking: any publicity is good publicity (theoretically). But I agree: a graveyard slot probably isn't going to win too many new converts to the game!
The interesting question is whether Scarlett's going to get to say anything very new and exciting, or whether this is mainly designed to get new players up to speed, and spread the word a little more. My suspicion is that, from our point of view, this might be fairly standard stuff - Scarlett, after all, is the character who deals mainly in publicity, if we're being honest. If it was Violet, then, hell, maybe I'd expect a few more clues to come our way. But, I guess we'll all have to tune in, record the segment, and try it milk it dry for info, regardless. Maybe over a six - week run (or whatever), things will naturally hot up.
The other things I'd warn people of (having a lengthy experience with the viccisitudes of radio broadcasting) are 1. There's no guarantee that the item will appear exactly when they say it will - although it will turn up sometime within the confines of the programme's running time 2. If they say it's ten minutes, expect them to cut it down to five, especially if they're running short on time.

Dopefiend: Do your 'contacts' say whether this will be a live inter-dimensional inter-planetary inter-timeline broadcast, or just pre-recorded?
Can we ask for any more info on your 'contacts', or are we talking about curtian-esque dealings?

Remember, 3am-5am in the UK is just 10pm-midnight on the East coast of the US (and even earlier in the evening for Californians). Surely someone can catch the streamed version and report back to us.

[edited to be less whiney. happy cabbage!]

I won't be home Sunday night, but I'll see about setting up Audio Hijack Pro on a timer with the URL, as that sort of thing is is what it is designed to do. Since it is going to be unattended, it might be good if we don't 100% rely on me capturing the recording--does anyone else want to volunteer? What we need is redundancy.
