Serenity Comic release

According to this article the first comic is supposed to be released tomorrow. I hope so, since my local comic store still doesn't have a clue when it's going to be available.

My shop isn't getting anything 'till Thursday because of the holiday on monday, but I'm hoping for Serenity in my pull list when I check this weekend....

Well my comic book store said it didn't come out at all - and had no information on when it was coming in.

*le sigh*

So I just read the first two issues of this. I'm not a big comic book reader, but they were pretty nifty. I like how it ties up a few loose ends from the TV show that aren't addressed in the movie.

serenity comics

When I was finally able to get downtown to the comic store, they told me that the first issue sold out in two days and was back at the printer. I bought the second issue, but won't read it till I get the first. Had to special order 1st and 3rd so must wait till the 3rd is released. Sigh.

* MAJOR SPOILER * - don't read if you haven't seen Serenity

I just got back from the theaters. Awesome. Amazing.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHOY, PLEASE DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I've never cried so damned hard at a movie in my life. WASH! Why? *dies* Joss surely is a fan of the sudden random death of beloved characters. "I'm a leaf in the wind!" will now replace "Your shirt...." for the random last words awards. Gah! Book, a couple of tears shed, yea. But god...Wash? Dude.

That's bascially all I've got. Heh. I'm sure I'll be more coherent when I'm not OMG WASH!!. *sob*

edited to add SPOILER to the subject to help those that use feeds to avoid seeing and to put the big disclaimer before the spoiler rolloverbox thinger. -b

The Atom feeds show the spoiler tags for me, however you have to roll you mouse over it before they'll show up... a bit better than nothing though. I did edit the subject line to reflect it which may help in some readers. (not so much in sage, which is what I use... not sure about the rest of y'all)

I am really really sorry. I didn't know there was a feed at all, much less that it didn't have spoiler tags. I just thought we'd talk about it on the board, but I guess I should have started another thread. I suck. Many appologies. Crying or Very sad

As for what you wrote in your spoiler...I completely and utterly agree with you.

No worries, Nos - not your fault! Likely we wouldn't have been able to see the movie for a few weeks anyway, and it's impossible to remain spoiler-free and still be on the internet. Smile
