Well my take on the situation is this :

From what i can tell, people have applied to be Sandmen but also went to the runners meeting, and seems that everyone is doing everything, or appearing to be to DC.
I think the PM's want to get everyone to decide what they are going to be , citizen, sanman or runner, so they can get an idea of "who is on what side" so they can start the game without having people who have applied to be everything.
Seeing as there is no puzzle in the email etc and the "last day" group has been removed.

Just my take on it, so will be replying with my choice today Smile

Yeah i think you're right about them making sure you're only on one side...

I'm still not going to reply to Coby3 though. In Game, it doesn't make much sense. Coby3 would be unable to read the e-mails as he's no longer living in CoD.

Coby did say he's working for someone else though, so perhaps they're reading all the emails that go through to Coby.

Also coby did say at the end of his email that he wouldn't be a citizen after this anyway.

I think the "person" Coby is communicating for is going to be a Mother Computer, Thinker type character. Architect of society. Just a hunch on my part.

Do you have something to back this claim up? You seem so certain, but it seems like speculation to me. The reply from Coby3 even comes with DomeCentral as the display name...

It's pretty obvious to me that he got the message. In his mail he noted that since he was no longer a citizen we would not get a reply, 'Expect no response" he said, and that was the exact same phrase in the 'bounce' from DC, "Expect no response"

That both notes use exactly the same phrase leads me to believe that that was the proper way to contact him, and by saying 'expect no response' he was really saying 'expect an expect no response' Smile

Or it might mean that Coby3 is DC Wink

Well, i just spoke with DC...I mentioned I had been renewd cause I had questions on which citizenship to use (he had given me two)...after I said I had been renewed s/he said :Yes. Maybe it is a sign?...maybe that simply is our sign we're waiting for...

I also wonder about renewal. In the Coby3 email he mentions: The person for whom I write is arranging something big; something good; something that most doubt exists.

and what is it that most doubt exists? possibly renewal!

either way, notice that the email seems to validate all three citizen "types" -- it doesn't really say that any is more "right", and it seems to suggest that 'searchers' are actually a part of a functioning society

personally i've said sandman, and i'm not going to tell people wanting to be runners to email if it's going to come around and bite me, but I definitely get the impression that this is our (Meta/OOG and IG) chance to decide what role we want to play, and that the use of the term "searchers" is a little more neutral than what Eileen5's approach contained... Further, we still have nearly 36hours until the window closes, so we'll probably get the 'Bliss' sign soon, in time for any runner-types to be convinced

The sign

I believe the rescue from certain Renewal was too big to be anything but the sign. I think that Coby3 serves someone with clout. He pulled Eileen5's victims out of the fire and Bliss is his "Peace Out" (said nasally with a sibillant s and the peace fingers forked across his bling).

At this point in the game I am in waiting mode as Coby3 has not contacted me. Perhaps his mysterious mistress has abandoned me.

It seems to me like the future of the City of Domes is three teams. Runners trying to subvert the system, Sandmen trying to preserve the order, and then the most important group. True citizens who could aid or deter either side at whim. Both Sandmen and Runners need the citizens and probably believe they are acting in the True citizens best interests.

Well, I tried asking DC about the mail, saying it indicated that Runners have a place in the city, and all I could get was "There are no runners; only true and honest citizens are allowed into the city of domes; thank you".

True Citizen, Searcher, or Sandman

we have all been presented with a decision: True Citizen, Searcher, or Sandman. I have never seen or read anything to do with Logan's Run before this game so I know very little about the 3... coby3 has given little description but not enough for me to make a decision...can someone please go into more detail on these three classes, it would be much apreciated.

I have seen a lot of inconsistency in how people are communicating. People who emailed coby did not recieve answers, those who didnt were emailed anyway...
Is there any reason why I shouldnt contribute my "choice" if I wasnt emailed by Coby?
Has Coby chosen the first round of players? I would really hate to miss out if I'm allowed to play.
