[ Please - Do We Have It Now? ] The Evil Cube

Since the artwork was obviously too easy for us - now we have a bunch of wordsearchs to go through.

Edit: if you're looking for the solution, try this post

Fine, Virgil. You win. I'm relabeling this as PARTIAL since obviously he doesn't like that we think it's solved. Have I mentioned he's a bastard yet? Very Happy

Edit: Relabled this with the name it deserves, and made it a sticky so that nobody goes home until we solve this!!! -Ehsan

Edit: SOLVED! Great work everyone.

edit: then again - maybe not

So we don't have to keep going back through that evil flash - I'm gonna start pulling shots of the wordsearches. Since this is no longer necessary...

Nice. I already dumped them to PDF.

Just a note about 20 (the last search)... Horizontally, third line up from the bottom reads wwwbenitostrawsongwu.

Googling "Benito Straw" finds a race horse that seems to only be a stud anymore.

All I can think is the Preakness and Belmont are coming up...

Captain Benito Strawson is one of the characters in Virgil's 1991 classic : Lethal Plunge

1st wordsearch

Obvious words:

Departure
Multiplayer

Prevarications

Rennaisance

Tribulations

Are you doing these on the wiki? Just had a quick peak, wonder how long this has been here? Also, good work on the paintings and I am very sorry I missed solving them!! Those I know really well!!

For those who would prefer to work outside of a flash world, here are the individual images. The file names are somewhat interesting, given that all but one are odd numbered.

At least someone has some presence of mind here. I'm totally burnt out since it's 45 minutes 'til the end of my work week. So what's the underlying reference why Benito Straw would be a racehorse and his game would have a character Benito Strawson?

Also something I noticed:

The first has a preponderance of A, B, L, and E clumped next to each other.

The second has B, O, L, and D.

ABLE and BOLD. Just from a quick glance, each search seems to have a central word.

may i suggest: everyone take one board each, and fFind all the words and patterns you can on it.

I call board board #3, image 13

so fFar: Baroque & romanticism are the more inetersting words. there are lots of strings of F E A R.

There's probably a word-string which appears as the fFlavour in every board, different fFor each one. Organized, they might say something.

I found player killer. On first glance, a lot seem to have successive letters in the alpha bet as well. The one I spent some time staring at had almost the whole top row successive with the letter below it.
