[cards] E3 card giveaways (updated: 6/13) Please follow the directions below carefully or your entry will not be counted.
I want to make sure that people who don't happen to be on the boards at the same time as me have the oppertunity to get something. So here's how it's going to work.
I will update this post with information about what I'm distributing and the question you must answer to get one.
You will email your Unfiction name and your answer to me at perplexcitycards AtSymbol gmail Dot com. You'll only do this once. Multiple entries will be discarded.
After 24 hours, I'll take all the correct answers, assign them numbers, pull numbers from a hat, and reply to those people for where to send their reward.
DON'T POST ANSWERS TO THIS THREAD PLEASE, EMAIL THEM TO THE ADDRESS LISTED ABOVE. Thanks.

6/12/05 4:30 PM PT - Follow the directions above to answer the question by 6/20/05 4:30 PT.
This is for Sweet Dreams #085 Yellow Maze. This card was unique to E3 and I have 7 of them.
Here is your clue...
Code:
AaABbCCCdDD EffffgGH Ijjjjk lllmMMmnNOoopqqq rRsSst Uvvvvw xxxyYYZZZaAaBbbccc DDDeeEe fF gggHHHiIiiJjjkklmMm
oOPpQqq RrRSsTTTuUU VwwwwxXY Zaaaab CcCcdDddeeEFfffggg hHiIij kKKlmMnNNnOOOPpqqq RRRssSs tTTuUvVv
WwWXxYYYzZZ AbbbbcCD EeeffgGHHIIIJjKkklll mMnNno Pqqqqr SSTTTUuvWwWW xxXxYYYzZz Abbbbccddd eEfFfG
The question you must answer is: What isn't?
Answer:
Okay. The passage is in morse code. With capital and lower case taking the place of dits and dots... Different letters show the... different letters... So AaA, BbB, CcC, and DdD are all the letter K.
The passage translates to:
"Know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
And know that the clubs are weapons of war
Know that dimonds are the money for this art"
This passage is most of the chorus of a song by Sting. The final line of the chorus is "But that's not the shape of my heart."
The question is "What is not?" as in "What is not the shape of my heart?"
The correct answer is "Cups" or "Cup".
I have two correct answers for seven cards. So everybody who wants one of the other 5 send in an email between now and 6:19 PM Pacific 6/21/05 just send an email with your unfiction name and I'll draw five lucky winners.

great idea. i especially applaud letting answers be taken for 24 hours. leaves out the time zone difference that caused some people, such as i, to miss the 333 packages.

The winners for the 24 hours in Perplex City are
Anderian
Scott
nynxer
Please see the first post above for your new question and what it can get you.
I have more of some things then others so don't worry if the number of winners jump around.
I understand the request for not making the questions to easy however, I also don't want to make them particularly hard because...
1) I want to make them all about Perplex City and information is somewhat limited.
2) I don't want to distract from the actual puzzles.

I have 7 "Geek..." cards to give away. I have exactly 7 entries, 5 of which are correct.
The people who have sent in an incorrect answer get one more guess each. (You know who you are. ) Everybody else gets an extra hour to submit an entry to compete for the 6th 7th card if that person's next guess is incorrect.
If you're having trouble figuring out the answer, please note that there's more then one clue as to what the answer is.

That iz actually a good idea Hitshermark it gives everyone a fair chance in the game. People like Nynxer and myself started the game late and have only just gathered what it is about but we have worked out a number of the card's puzzles and are prepared to swap our knoledge for rare items as you know from out previous emails.

Okay Both "Geek..." and "Down, A, B..." winners are announced above.
I think all I have left now are the cards that were unique to E3. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the response for these will be much bigger then these previous cards. So I'm going to take a day off to contemplate what I'm going to ask for those.
