Very strange...I wonder why some of us were "spared" by not being invited to the meeting? It's not like I didn't e-mail and receive a response from Eileen5...although I was very vague...I never mentioned running at all in so many words, so perhaps there wasn't enough "evidence?"

I don't think evidence had anything to do with it cause all I sent her was a blank email with "Hi" in the subject line.
You can't get anymore vague than that.

What is Eileen5 about? Eileen5 would seem to be an agent of DomeCentral. But there were those warnings in the emails that we didn't catch, so, though she can't be trusted, she might still have some loyalty to the runners. I thought perhaps she was trying to clue those that showed up by saying "Please only respond when asked." Were there any that attended, but didn't name themselves in the roll call? I wonder if just your presence was enough to condemn you, or if you had taken Eileen's advice and remained quiet you might have escaped judgement.

I guess I should be glad to not be in that meeting... but now I feel like I'm missing most of the game. How did you even hear about it?

I doubt it's important but has anyone else noticed that all of the names are in alphabetical order apart from the last two. Orthello12 seems to be a game character. Is Daniel3 one of us?

From what I understand Daniel3 is a regular player. I spoke with Orthello12 last night and I asked if he was real, here was his response: of course, until my first THIS arg.
So, I'm still unsure but I have a feeling he is a Game Guy.
Btw, I'm sad that my first ARG ended so quickly for me

How I heard about it Check the Eileen5 thread to see how we heard about it. I emailed Eileen5 but got no response.
I did get a knock on my AIM last night. I clicked it and it seemed like a domecentral invitation. I was pretty confused. A small image of the arcade was in the left margin. It looked like the picture "BartsNQuery" from the RABBITHOLE thread.
I wrote 'hello?' a few times, but got no response. Then my wife wanted me to stop obsessing and go to the grocery store with her. I closed out of it and haven't been able to figure out what it was. Perhaps her impatience saved me from Carousel. Let's just say this is my first real ARG (I got in The Colony right on the last puzzle and had no clue what was going on) and my home life is adjusting to this addictive form of interaction.

I am sure that even if you got sent to Carousel last night, your ARG experience is not over. Part of the game is to find other ways of thinking. They aren't going to want to "fire" you during pre-game!

I agree 100%! There have to be runners, or else there is no game! Whether it's going to be sandmen pitted against runners, or whether everyone will eventually be a runner, who knows...but IMHO this is just the beginning of this experience for me, even though I'm slated for Carousel!
(aside: I'm actually anaka3, not ananka3 as they have me listed. Is that a technicality that I can use to get out of it??? )
