Actually, now you've pointed it out, that *does* seem to be the implication of the article, so 'Catbite' would, logically, be southwards (ish). I shouldn't read the articles so quickly in the first place!!

It might be of interest that Catbite is near archaeological finds of some significance, and the Old Town both - that, at least, reinforces my theory that this is probably the 'nucleus' area from which the City spread gradually northwards and outwards - indeed, maybe the Northside Development is just the very latest in a series of northward expansions of the City that have occurred over centuries. I'd still like to know what Catbite *is*, however....
