Needle and face could be referring to a clock. Its possible this could lead to another mission using the /clock url used in the covent garden mission. I have checked the page but it still refers to the old mission.

is little but much
is huge but small

Could be a reference to Big Ben??

Russell and I have been chatting to see what we could come up with...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

[16:22] Russell Unfiction: ok so is it telling us to copy and paste the
d9h5qd5.tjo
[16:22] Rance: that was my thought
[16:22] Russell Unfiction: needle and face could be clock/compass
[16:23] Rance: hmm
[16:23] Rance: \'pace\' suggests a compass...
[16:23] Rance: although it could suggest a clock as well..
[16:23] Russell Unfiction: understand ands pace could be metronome
[16:23] Rance: hmmm, yes
[16:24] Rance: hmmmm
[16:24] Rance: hemidemisemiquaver
[16:24] Rance: it\'s the smallest tone in music
[16:24] Rance: but one of the longest words
[16:24] Rance: little but much, huge but small
[16:24] Rance: at least I think that\'s the term
[16:25] Russell Unfiction: A note having the time duration of one sixty-fourth
of the time duration of a whole note.
[16:25] Russell Unfiction: possibly base 64?

Nothing yet....

turns out there is a smaller tone in music that is a 128th note that is the quasidemihemisemiquaver... base-128 translation didn't turn up anything either. This may be a dead end.

This is true, and Big Ben seems like as likely a candidate as anything. There might be something worth looking into in the "westminster quarters"

Hi all, I've been lurking around Zoe for a while but finally decided to say something.

Could "understand and pace" mean travelling a certain number of paces/strides in one or more directions? This might fit the Big Ben idea (as a landmark from which to base our navigation).

I'd say whatever it is we're looking for will give us a key to understand decoding the possible filename in the subject line. Of course that could be off base too.

Any chance 'needle and face' could refer to one of the faces on Cleopatra's Needle in London?

Ok I have gone through every possible word that has the same letter in positions 1+6 and 4+7 (assuming this is just a substitution). These are the results:

d9h5qd5

Quote:

rhubarb
amoebae
cadence
cogence
nudging
aeonian
nelsons
raisers
rinsers
rousers
contact
epithet
restart
saltest
softest

I think a large number of the possibilities can be ruled out, the most likely i believe are Restart and Contact.

Obvious options for the .toj include:

.com, .htm, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .wav, .mp3

Nothing obvious found yet...

nice work Russell. Also, if it's a substitution, should we include J15? It would be easy to assume J15 could be Zoe, Leo or Veo.

Cadence seems to fall in line with 'understand and pace' but no immediate success with it either.

I was thinking along those lines as well regarding j15 being leo but couldnt think of what .*l* could be, only one i can think of is .dll but i very much doubt its that Smile

I also agree with the cadence refererence but couldnt get anything.

I dont quite understand the reasoning why this clue is being linked to a london landmark. Sorry it might be but thats not the feeling i get.
