 		In any case, Mant1s must be in our reality right now since he can read this forum thread. Very Happy Remember he referred to it in PokeKiller's conversation as the "PuppetMaster" forum. (I'm not going to argue the ethics of that right now, heh.)

He can obviously see in our reality, anyway, but the conversation implies he's in his own reality too ("I am..." rather than "I was...", etc). Which begs the question, why is he recruiting people from our reality to take part in a game in his reality? I'd guess the answer is he doesn't know that he's switched realities, but I'm only guessing.

I hope this post isn't useless, anyway. Very Happy

 		New theory: rather than alternate universes, Mant1s is in fact the creation of deranged Mantis. An alternate personality.

Mantis/Mant1s talked about 'me' being in his dreams, and said he couldn't tell me about his dreams, but he could show me. He tried to send me an avi file, but that didn't work out so well...

 		After reading this thread, I decided to IM Maniacal Mant1s. As I am a newbie, I really did not have much to say, so I thought that was the end of that. But a few minutes ago, I recieved this message:

This is what I got out of it:

I ran it through a hex editor program, and got a string of numbers. I took the string of numbers, and ran that through an octal editor. The result was www.worldofmantis.blogsp or what I took to mean http://www.worldofmantis.blogspot.com.

 		I'm smelling somebody here who wants to launch but isn't at all ready for the audience and/or their input and questions. "I have to go" means "I have no idea how to answer your question so I'm leaving before I contradict myself."

I won't say they won't be around long...but...what we don't need is another failed attempt. PLEASE think things out before you start and be sure your game is sustainable before you launch.

Since when?

If "ARGs" in general, as opposed to ARGs by a particular subset of PMs, are actually becoming more tailored to a specific group of players (which I rather doubt, looking over a random selection of recent successful games), that's a problem, not something to be encouraged.

He didn't seem to have a new name for Synagoga, I'm guessing because he didn't even think of it as being worth his brainstorming time. Too bad, I was curious to see what name he would make up for it. I must say, that it doesn't feel like I'm talking to a character, but I'm talking to a normal guy, which contributes to the idea of this being a poorly done launch.

EDIT He got back on about 10 minutes later and we had another conversation, confirming this is related to Project Ashcroft
