Just thinking of how that one scene reminds me of Madeleine L'Engle's "A Wrinkle inTime" -

I'm glad Jim didn't use public defender Pete Pantip {Pete Pan.....Tip!}. Jameson seems to have the power to get things done....people just seem to obey him....who has that kind of authority?.... and can we trust him?

 		I don't trust him entriely. some of which may not be his fault. Was he diliberately sent because he doesn't have any criminal experience and can't help jim as much as someone else., Did he know the sherif's office was bugged when he picked it to get jim to spill his guts. Why the the casino manager show them the tapes after he saw the lawyers id but not jims?

 		I don't trust him at all. The manager at the Casino took one look at whatever was in his billfold and immediately capitulated.

Also, to me it seemed like Jameson knew that the video wasn't going to establish the alibi.
