Hmmm, you have a point. You could always use the wiki, but I think that's also OOG.

I wouldnt worry about it much as the PM(s) haven't shown any indication of breaking Unfiction's OOG stance.

Edit: Lewis, do you mean the three top things at the attachment Julia Blacwolf sent to Dashcat? I see nothing but dearjuliathorneb,,,

I was wondering that too. The interesting part about the arrangement is that the first letter of each line spells DUO which sort of fits the clone theme but maybe it's a password somewhere.

DUO
Makes sense, yeah, in the clone theme

This might be of some interest, as I researched a bit.

The Blackwolf twins's names: Laura Irina and Julia Thorne.
Both names come from the TV show Alias. Looks like the PM who gave them the name must really like the show.

Laura Irina: Sydney Bristow, the main character of Alais played by Jennifer Garner, in the show, Laura was the name of Syd's mom, but Laura was actually KGB spy Irina.
Julia Thorne: In season three Sydney was brainwashed by the baddies the Covenant, and after being brainwashed she was called Julia Thorne.

Yeah I do think we need to worry about it. I'm not worried about PMs coming here. I'm worried about using UF as a source of information to a character who can't come here. They can't acknowledge the information they know is here without tearing the curtain. Do you see? We need to work a little harder at respecting the character's limitations. We need to stay in their world and not drag them into ours. Lewis could have sent the attachment of my email to Adam over AIM.

We could mimic the Sigma site by having our own "message board"... and yeah, you're right, aside from chats and the websites, there's little that the IG characters can take info from.

Hehe, believe it or not quite a few major ARGs have been played with nothing more than a comb and some tissue paper. Email was our salvation. We also have AIM and Yahoo and MSN and their ability to send attachments . Getting info to characters shouldn't be hard. And nowadays our characters all have blogs. How easy is that whippersnapper? Sorry, I just had to add that.

Oh, another thing I need to mention. Assume all the characters don't know what we are up to unless we tell them. This means when you break a code and find a solution to something you need to let the pertinent character know by email or aim or post on their blog.

Back to ingame...

I received this from Julia in reply to my last email:

Alright, Dashcat. Thanks for your info.

Here's what I can dig up on Jenna:
Jenna Sweet is very, very similar to our mother in
many senses. She's blonde, wears a barrett similar to
our mother, even speaks the same way as she does.
Interesting to note, that Laura told me, that her last
name 'Sweet' is my mother's exact same name, before
she got married.

So we have a Jenna Sweet and a Jennifer Sweet. Jenna's
about 15, just like me and Laura.

Ok I hate to say this but suddenly Julia doesn't sound like the flaky teenager of before. And talk about hitting us over the head with clues. We got it already. Jenna Sweet is the Senator's clone. Got that days ago. Somebody tell Adam already.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Is there any ongoing puzzles, or is it just Let's Chat With Adam mode?

EDIT: Do we really want to tell Adam? Isn't he ...the bad guy here? Oh, and more about Jenna Sweet being SenJen's clone at Laura's blog.

I could have file transferred that file, yeah, but the link I gave was a direct one to that image file. Let's face it: any PMs are going to know about the existance of Unfiction. It's not like we're revealing a brand new revelatory site or anything.

With regards to the dearjulia... thing: the way it was broken up made me think there was something else to it. Maybe I'm looking too deep.

My idea as soon as we found out about Adam was to befriend him. With SDA giving the trailhead, and seeming to be the good guy and the one giving us info, I thought the best way to get new information would be to act as a friend to Adam. So far, seems to be working.

You aren't getting the point Lewis. You aren't immersing yourself. You aren't thinking of the characters as real people. You are playing to the PMs. Of course the PMs read these forums but the characters in our game don't. Try to forget that there are PMs and imagine how you would deal with these characters if they were real people. You have to jump into their world. UF doesn't exist in their world.

Otherwise I think everything you're doing is great. To tell the truth I don't know who we should or should not be telling in game stuff too. I have no idea who's side we should be on.

I appreciate that. By sending him that image, I *was* immersing myself. I just didn't think, I guess.

I talked to 22 last night. Well, technically it was this morning, but you know what I mean. I had to leave in a hurry though, because my mother was quite insistent on getting me to go to bed, so I closed MSN Messenger before I could copy the conversation. So, I'll just sum things up as best as I can. Anything that's in quotes is either from my memory or paraphrasing.

According to 22, if we want to "help the Bureau", then "talking to Adam Fritz is the wrong move". He wants to know what we know about the subjects and Project Fatemaker. I dodged that question by asking some of my own. Apparently the Bureau has "demystified" everything else, so "making fate" was the only thing left. He doesn't like the term 'cloning' for this project because it sounds too cheap, and this project apparently cost a lot of money because, as I said, "the nature of fate is that it has already been made and that even if you try to 'make fate,' you're just playing into fate's hands." Additionally, he said that Adam is continuing in his own "personal war" even though he's been taken off the project.

Next time, I'll try to remember to copy the conversation, and I'll try to find out more. I'm not entirely sure if I should tell him anything, and, if I should, how much I should tell.

EDIT: Laura's new post on her blog is very interesting, and refers to Number 7 and SDA. I wonder if it would be possible for us to contact Jenna...

Woah, who sent that? Whoever it is, they must be getting pretty desperate. She's an interesting bartering chip though, that's certain.
