Ooh, heck, there's more:

Quote:
Adam says:
Today's my birthday, did you know?
Adam says:
To celebrate it, a fellow Bureau coworker let me a peek into classified Bureau folders.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Happy Birthday
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
... anything interesting?
Adam says:
Well, cult leader Gary Venables used to be on the Leadership. And, aside from that, I learned that the probability of me murdering 22 within this year was 2 to 3. If you would like to make a bet, now is the best time.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
This is... weird.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Is there any way I can see these folders, or not?
Adam says:
I will try to copy the folders, at least the ones I can persuade my colleague to send to me. You will find much of it interesting.
Adam says:
For instance, it seems that Blackwolf Corporate Umbrella might be going bankrupt. This would be a bad thing for the Senator's campaign.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Hmm.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Definitely
Adam says:
Also, Coverup agent 3 reported that Lazarus Mihail... a dead man... was seen in London several days ago.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Lazarus on Enchanted...
Adam says:
Perhaps. But I think that's impossible. Lazarus is a dead man. Three gunshots in the head confirms your death in most forms of life.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Bureau clones people.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
How long ago did Mihail die?
Adam says:
February this year, if I wasn't wrong. I met with him before he died.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
Adam.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
This is creepy.
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
If Lazarus died, but he's been seen
"He has a degree in Youth Work and Theology, which serves him well in his career as a freelance games journalist." says:
and there's a 'conspiracy' with regards to Bureau cloning people?
Adam says:
Maybe it's just a lookalike? I assure you, Lazarus is dead.
Adam says:
And he died in Brazil, meaning he could not possibly decide to take an Atlantic flight just so he could be strolling around London.
Lewis says:
Do you not see where I'm coming from here, though?
Adam says:
Lazarus was cloned?
Lewis says:
I believe it's possible.
Lewis says:
Who was Lazarus Mihail? Anyone particularly prolific?
Adam says:
An immortal man. He was born in 1847, and lived to see his end in 2005.
Adam says:
He worked on a Bureau Project called Immortalitas.
Adam says:
He was the second of the two test subjects used. I know this, because Gladys Corcoran was the project leader. If I wasn't wrong, the initial testing of the project was between 1955 to 1980.
Adam says:
Project Fatemaker tried to clone Lazarus because of his immortality, but failed. A study was made and it was revealed that a person above age 67.2 could not be cloned.
Adam says:
Alas, the other subject, was successfully made immortal, but unsuitable for cloning too.
Lewis says:
Wow.
Adam says:
Wow?
Lewis says:
Sorry, I didn't know any of that
Lewis says:
it's all new to me
Lewis says:
There's a lot to take in.
Adam says:
Ah yes.
Adam says:
If I wasn't wrong, though my grandmother was the pioneer in age rejuvenation and immortality, she did not use it on herself.
Lewis says:
Interesting
Lewis says:
Do you know why?
Adam says:
She didn't want to. By then she was already embracing death. After all, she was about 91 by the time she passed. She'd done more things than most of us could even imagine.
Lewis says:
yes, she was a highly talented scientist, it would seem
Adam says:
And businesswoman. The Bureau is essentially her creation.
Lewis says:
Then she is indeed admirable
Lewis says:
If not all of her ideals seem to be, well, enormously humane
Adam says:
Her intentions were research, but it was later corrupted by others who started to come in. In the 1950s, a number of the scientists at the Bureau were Soviet defectors and people who generally came into the Bureau for its neutrality. Fast forward fifty years later, and there apparently remains very little for the Bureau to demystify and prove wrong.
Lewis says:
I see.
Adam says:
Very well, I have said enough for the day.
Adam says:
Good day, Mr Denby.

I just checked out Lazarus's Private Messages and found something interesting. First, a PM he sent to a ProfMoriarty (How Sherlock Holmes):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From: Lazarus Subject: Help Me Please
I'm forced to choose help at random.

I'm praying that you're not affiliated to Adam Fritz...

We're leaving Tokelau immediately. The transfer is not by plane (that's too risky). Here's what you can do to help:

Keep an eye on this year's Presidential Election. Senator Blackwolf's going to win.

I'll see if I can decode it, but your guess is as good as mine probably.[/quote]

Wow, I never would have thought it was 1337. I've never seen that version before. Boy, I feel silly. Great job, oliverkeers13!

Now who's Ana Kite?

Ana Kite is a member of Enchanted Forums, who was the first person to guess that SDA and the Subjects were in Tokelau.

A player, most probably, my guess.

Hung Low

I'm new to this game (and ARGs in general, though I followed along with the end of the Haunted Apiary), so hello to everyone.

I've been looking at the script excerpts of Hung Low and the Stereotypes of Town X and trying to see what (if anything) they reveal. While I haven't found much (and may have found nothing at all), I thought I'd post what I've noticed in case someone else can use it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the first excerpt:

The COLLEGE NERD says that "Activating robots are a real cinch....Giving a robot a personality is slightly harder."
---I'm thinking that the "robots" may be a reference to the children in Proj. Fatemaker; they were easy enough to clone, but perhaps the project ran into difficulties.

The FAT DUDE NUDIST says that "Post Messenger Alphonse has robots."
---Wasn't there an "Alphonse" mentioned earlier in the game? (I think someone said there is no Alphonse, but I figured I'd mention this anyway.)

The RELIGIOUS SOCIOPATH says, "Details on my robots burning frenzy I shall post at the later..."
---We've got a few characters with blogs. Perhaps the Sociopath represents one of them.

The BRITISH GUY mentioned that "we execute those who defame the Queen's English. My parents believed in that. It worked, it did."
---Some of the subjects have been executed. Does the Brit represent Adam or someone affiliated with him?

I haven't found much of anything in the second excerpt.

I hope that helps, and I hope I haven't caused too much of a problem if it doesn't.

I had to laugh when I read the above because in my first post, I asked the same question about the screenplay. (Welcome to the Conspiracy of B from another brand new player.)

Dashcat kindly pointed out they've solved that puzzle.

I've been away for a day or so and am trying to figure out what to do next.

I just checked out Laura Irina Blackwolf's myspace account
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=21620066&Mytoken=20050723134727
Not too much information there, except for Laura's middle name, which I do not remember seeing before. In her profile, Laura mentions Julia has written a book:
Quote:
I'd want to write a book, but Julia's beaten me to that. Maybe you should buy it once it's published.

Also, Laura's age is 24. I thought the twins were in their teens, but now that I look in their blog, I do not see an age. I'm guessing it's a small error because that would make Senator Jennifer Blackwell, 35 years old, only 11 at the time of their birth. In any case, I'm adding her as a myspace friend. We'll see if something develops.

I have to agree with Illegally Teacups about Ana Kite. I haven't found anything interesting about having access to Lazarus's account in the Enchanted Forums. I'm glad to know others are looking at it, too.

Back to poking around.

No need to apologize. Like I said, I did exactly the same thing and found it very funny.

SDA has a new update on his blog. http://sixdoorsago.blogspot.com/

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Quote:
...a 'secret society' called De Bestellingsverzameling. Apparently, members of this secret capitalist group included Belgian shipping magnate Wolfgang de Mauser, clothing tycoon Carlo Rigazzi, and British aristocrat Lord Francis Northridge.

The Conspiracy of Bestellingsverzameling, anyone?

Regarding Monique Claret's calling card (as posted by Lewis the Second, great find!), I also think it's a sequence of numbers. We know that SDA has subjects 6, 7, 2 and 12. I've tried destegging using twelve, Twelve, TWELVE, 12, 67212, etc., to no avail. SDA hinted a fifth member may have survived, so I ran through the other numbers (1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11), too. Maybe it's not a destegging puzzle, but that is not to say I have exhausted the possibilities. Also, I was wondering if anyone can confirm if there is a first postcard (I've only seen the second and third in the series), and if so, could you point me to it?

Finally, news on Benedict Vargas has arrived in the form of a new post on the Yahoo! Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/allaboutconspiracies/ from someone with the user name "conzpirazi" and signed "Ben Vargas". As I've always wanted to say: The plot thickens.

Interestingly enough, Hung Low is a name often used in Viagra spams (Hung Low... get it?)

Seeing that there are so many Bs in this Conspiracy, I'm making a page on the wiki (does anybody check it out, or just me? nobody updates it though) about all the Bs, and which one might be the one we're all looking for.

Good idea. Also, I checked it when I was catching up; it doesn't say that the Hung Low script is solved, which is another reason I thought it wasn't. I'll edit and say that it is, though I don't know the solution.

Oh, dear.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Adam Fritz has sabotaged SDA's blog. The taunting replacement did not work for me, so I got the link from the source code. http://www.freewebs.com/bterminal3/theendofyou.swf
First page reads:
Goodbye, Mr. SDA. It was fun getting to know you. (part of Adam's amazingly long email address) I'm coming for you. Adam knows all.
Second page:
(Some symbols, I believe that's a capital Russian beh, a Greek lowercase rho, and then a Greek capital gamma/capital Russian geh. According to the conspiracy group over at Yahoo, this is the symbol of the Bureau of Technicalities.) The Variables You Do Not Know. Hahahaahahahahahahaa. You think you know, but you don't. (Some letters smashed together. Looks like, "Power lies elsewhere. Power lies to you.")

I'll email SDA right now.

By the way, does anyone have a copy of the last SDA blog post (the one with the Donny Devraux article)? I'd like to read it again.
