Ok then I had a reply from one of the deaf societys I contacted:
Quote:
Hello Russell,
Actually being jpgs the pics opened in the bottom of the email anyway, but your descriptions have clarified it as the 1st drawing I wasn't sure of palm orientation.
Can I ask if these are American or British?
The 1st looks to me like either 'different' or 'but' in ASL - in my ref books the fingers start crossed but then move apart as in your drawing - a bigger movement for 'different', small for 'but'. This is also very similar to BSL 'different' that is sometimes also done with palms facing down - but the hands twist over as they move apart.
The 2nd sign I thought straight away is the ASL sign 'dead' or 'die'
The 3rd does actually look like 'talk' and I think could apply to ASL as well as BSL.
Any help? I'm curious as to where you've seen them?
Cath
Hopefully Poorsod you can corroborate this tonight.
This gives us "different death talk" or "but death talk". Now it could mean that they are saying although she is dead she can still talk i.e. she has left something. Or it could mean something completely different. At this point I dont think there is much more we can do with this, anyone in favour of turning it over to l?

The file names are named c4, c6 and c9. Possibly representing word positions? In which case we might be missing some words yet:
___ ____ ____ but ____ death ____ _____ _____ talks.
any guesses?
I don't see how this evidence so far could clear Leo, nor does it give us any info about it's source. Why will the passcodes for the doors at a police station help clear Leo? Something isn't right. Not sure if or what we should send to Leo.

I agree that that doesn't seem like evidence that could clear someone. Maybe we should email him and tell him we have the info and want to know more about it before we'll give it to him?

Leverage on Leo I agree with Joe. We've been at Zoe/Leo's mercy begging for scraps of info since we started. We should E-mail him to try to get a bit of information out of him.

Unfortunately she wasn't around this afternoon, but I'm seeing her for sure tomorrow morining, so you'll get an update from me in school - around 11.
:edit: thought - couuld the keycodes be useful to unlock http://www.imfriendly.co.uk/operationprove ? It's a poss that if the codes are correct it will lead us somewhere other than http://www.imfriendly.co.uk/operationprove/networkaccess

I was ill today - got up, went into the bathroom and fell over so I didn't get to see Joanna. I'm feeling better now, so I will try and speak to her tomorrow, but the family often isn't in at the weekends. Sorry about that
Maybe things aren't as bad as we thought if the mysterious L isn't replying. Or maybe they're worse. Let's see if we can find Pemesent's police website and hack it using the codes. Good idea, bad idea?

OK I have results from Joanna. There are none she's absolutely certain about, but this is what she thinks...
c4 (fingers moving) = "different"
c6 (hands turning over) = "turn it over" (duh)
c9 (hands closing) = "lots of birds", "it's very noisy" or "stop"

Well none of those seem to make an actual sentence together, do those words seem like they have any relevent meaning?
If those are what this is then somone seems to be saying that something should be changed (possiblly for being too noisy?)
