Nope still not working. For the record, I've tried the game on IE, FireFox, Mozilla, and Safari. None of them work. Bah Hambug....

I managed to get the "Elite" status and then gave up after a few more tries. Eh.
Oh, and my high score was 5,250 if anyone cares.

So..I'm wondering how important it is to be on the high scores list. I just want to get to the point where they even bother asking for my name after scoring LOL Anyone think the score list really matters? Just them knowing our high scores might count?

[RANT]I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed at having to endure a high-frustration click fest. Give me a break...
The puzzles are pretty annoying, too. The OTTFFSSE? puzzle is older than dirt, but when you format it as OTT FFS SE? you are implying that the first two triads as a whole relate to the third triad as a whole. If anything, the solution to it as written should be "E." It just doesn't make sense to format it like this. It's one thing to come up with a hard puzzle, which some of them legitimately are, but it's pretty annoying to take an easy puzzle and then confuse the player just by grouping the letters senselessly.
I hope the rest of the game doesn't include this kind of garbage, especially manic click-happy flash games.[/RANT]
FWIW, I did take a screen grab of the 5th level since it represents a more clear version of the COD grid system than the one that appears in the ROC. I don't think it has much to offer, but I felt obligated to do more than just gripe
Description
Better quality COD grid map.

Yeah! I just got elite status! Have no clue what my score was because I was just so excited to finally reach level 5 and get asked to put my name in, I forgot to look.
For those that may be as bad as I am at the game, I found that waiting all the way over almost on the opposite side of where the "runners" (aka annoying blinking lights) were coming out gave me time to line up my blaster so the "runner" skimmed just along the top of the horizontal line on whatever side of the blaster they're coming towards (I started out having them go "through" the line thinking that would be dead center, but for some reason, that wasn't working for me). On the lower levels I clicked when they hit the center, on the upper levels I clicked almost as soon as they started moving along the line. This worked for me about 95% of the time. I also sat and let quite a few run by, especially on levels 4 and 5. Also, the suggestion to increase the screen resolution was VERY helpful.
This may all be TMI for most, but after a day of playing the game at least every couple of hours and barely getting to level 4 most of the time, I thought someone else who has as bad of hand/eye coordination as I seem to have might find it helpful.

silly game, some reward? I haven't spent enough time at STS to get to the end, but that Map of the City of Domes on level five looks great! Thanks for posting it, jzero. This could be one goal of the exercise. (Another being demonstration of accuracy.)
Is anyone tracking names that appear on the high scores list for comparision to the list of names registered on the UFForums ? Seems we could use the high score list to get a sense of how many others might be playing this game and not be on the UFForums.

[spec] according to the front page of the sts:
Quote:
STS is only for registered recruits who have authorized access
to SRI. Scores registered by non-SRI recruits are invalid and
cause for termination from the City of Domes.
i know this is a simulation, but seeing as you must type your name into the scorebaord thingy, wouldnt it be possible for us to actually use this game to terminate runners. I am in no way saying we should do this, at all, please dont kill me. Im just saying that if we really wanted to, we could get an elite status game, and then type in a runners name. Now obviously if their running, they are not applying to be sandman. We could terminate runners using the simulation.
could
it would be undermining the game and be malicious and uncalled for. but. i just wanted to say it could be done.
