So we get around to the back and I meet a couple of the other production guys including "Rocky" (that's how he was introduced to me) and the guy I keep wanting to call "Antwan" even though that may be wrong... I do recall that his last name was "graves".

So the fist thing Mr Graves asks me is if anybody has given me an SD card yet...

And... That makes me somewhat apprehensive, and I say that nobody has said anything about an SD card.

He then pulls out three and hands me one... So now I'm standing there, with an extra SD card in my hand and I'm like, "Are you sure I'm supposed to have this?"

But it was for recording the video with my treo so I wouldn't have to go through the rigmarole of transferring the file. Then they decide to simply just use one of their treos, so I'm now standing there with two treos and two SD cards. And all I could think was, "try, try, try not to make trouble."

Rocky gives me a script with my fabulous one line, but the script is two pages and includes a description of the newspaper clipping that was eventually made and sent to Nisha via worry. I had kind of figured they were going to off me. Smile

So Rocky describes that he's going to be the one to put on the ski mask and grab me before I can say "Hes at the Viceroy." Now Unfortunately, I didn't get any good shots of sweet Rocky, but to me he looked like a more mature, more buff, better looking brother of the obnoxious jock who grabbed my hand and made me hang up on Melissa during i love bees... So I'm very very amused by this.

I let Rocky know that I have experience with stage combat and not long after that, he tells me that the other guy is going to be the ski mask thug. Dunno Mr. Green

Around this time everybody else starts showing up and I got to meet PM Brian, PM Mike, Ian (Joe), and Virgil (Dave). Who are all very cool.

Brian asks me if I know what I'm supposed to be doing we talk for a moment about what I'm going to be filming and what to do and then there's a pause, so I let them off the hook and ask them if they're planning on killing me off.

There's another pause as Brian and Mike exchange looks and then Brian asks, "Would you be okay with that?"

"Awesome!"

They really looked relieved. I guess I could understand not being sure how I would take it. But, seriously, how could I react any other way?

Then they tied up Ian/Joe and of course I took pictures of that with my phone. You pretty much know the results of what happened next.

We shot like four takes, the first one, I thought, looked kind of boring, so I made sure to include a bit of the wall I was standing by to establish the fact that I was hiding and help frame the shot. I was really happy when they reviewed the second take and they all went, "Ohh, I like how she got the wall in there." They were all watching the video so they didn't see me hopping for joy.

I wasn't sure of my performance during the "struggle", I thought I sounded like a monkey. Virgil/Dave maintained that it somehow sounded to him like Betty Boop... What kind of Betty Boop cartoons did you watch Dave?

The third take I believe is the one you know and love.

Comming next... A round of drinks and I ask a bunch of questions.

That depends on what you were going to change it to now doesn't it?

By the way. Fixed the video on Ian's message. Smile

Geez, I dunno. Entrenched sort of has a new special meaning now, in your case. Wink

If you were a Terry Pratchet fan you would know that it should be "inhumed"... Wink

Moving on...

As I said, after we finished filming, we went to the bar at the hotel to hang out and have some drinks.

I spoke with David a bit about Virgil and how Kane and I agreed that Virgil talks, acts, and designs like a guy who's been out of the industry for nigh unto a decade. I asked him what he thought of E3 and he said it was "loud". Smile

We talked about a lot of stuff from my point of view, but I won't bore you with any of it. I asked several questions and I'll relay the answers here as best as I can remember them.

I asked, "What was the deal with that movie worry sent me?" I was worried there was some sort of puzzle involved that I missed or that I was somehow supposed to bring it up to either Ian or Nisha. Or that we were somehow supposed to continue interaction with worry over it, though the effect was the opposite. I felt slightly bad because I felt like the ball may have been dropped on my part.

Turns out that was exactly what it was supposed to do.

It occurred to several of us around the same time to contact worry through stolena3, of which I was one. They didn't really want worry to have regular contact with people. worry was supposed to be mysterious.

They had footage of Rodger and Trent wandering around LA for something else that they ended up not using. So they decided to send it on to me as one of the Coachella 5, somebody who lives roughly in the area, the one who handed off the fake SD card, and somebody who would be likely to share the file relatively quickly with the rest of y'all. The idea was for it to be mysterious and vaguely threatening, just like we've come to expect from worry.

The file had the desired effect as they said people started backing off trying to contact worry directly.

Another question was, "What was the deal with the Papa Legba servants (Zombie mimes) in Chicago?"

Again, stuff fell through so they improvised.

The Chicago meeting with Gunter was supposed to happen at a pier. Apparently (I've never been to Chi myself) there's this huge Ferris wheel there with cars that hold six people. So the meeting was going to be in one of those cars. Unfortunately the pier is sponsored by some other car company this year. (I don't recall which) As such, all car related advertisement filming has to be cleared through them. Of course they nixed it.

There was going to be some kind of event in New Orleans, it was going to have a spooky voodoo vibe, but it also ended up not happening. But they really wanted to use the Papa Legba zombie mimes... So they decided to just use them in Chicago.

Must be Navy Pier? That's the only place I know of that has the big Ferris Wheel with cars for that many people. Wow, that would have been pretty cool too. Although I'm still glad we got the zombie mime boat ride. Very Happy

Not to my knowledge. The cameras 'Oak' outfitted us with failed to work, and none of us were using personal cameras.

I'm glad it went the boat-ride route personally. Heading to that dark mysterious dock in the middle of the night really set the mood. Somehow, navy pier during the hours of operation of the ferris wheel wouldn't have been nearly as ominous. It was a hell of a lot easier to fear Gunter and believe he was a crazy man when he's meeting in this out of the way dark creep place.

That's what I want to know! Did the cameras *really* fail? Were they never supposed to and we just wired up so we felt like we were more involved? Was the video just too low quality to use? (and if so can we see some of it now that the game's over?) Or did some weird zombie mime voodoo happen to all four cameras? Shocked

From the noises made by Mike and Brian when they were talking about the Chicago op, I would assume that the cameras really did fail.
